All this week I’ll be featuring bathroom makeovers that were submitted by readers. I especially love seeing how so many of you have transformed small spaces like this one. Bre writes that she and her husband Casey had a “tiny and dark” bathroom that needed a lot of work.
A bathroom reno can make life inconvenient. BreAnne illustrated the hassle of it by posting a photo on her blog of herself washing her hair in the kitchen sink:
But she says it was worth doing without a shower for two weeks. Here’s how the bathroom looks now:
Pretty! They installed the 4″ x 15″ subway tile with a glass tile band towards the top of the tub themselves.
They bought the tub, shower, and pedestal sink at Home Depot, and the new mirror and light fixture came from Pottery Barn. The shower curtain was sewn from a fabric they liked.
The planked walls give the room more character, too. Can you spot the hidden storage cabinet they built into the space over the toilet?
Such clever idea for a small space!
You can read more about their bathroom makeover and other projects on their blog The Neuzel Project. Thanks to BreAnne and Casey for sharing it with us!
P.S. Let’s keep the conversation this week about readers’ bathrooms polite. I want my blog to be a friendly place for people to share their houses with us. Thanks!
