I think I’ve mentioned that my master bath needs a complete overhaul (poor thing). It’s very basic and boring. Functional, but nothing to get excited about. So I’ve been searching for design inspiration and spending a lot of time browsing through the gallery of remodeled bathrooms on the CalFinder Remodeling website.

This is one example from their gallery. I’m loving that glass tile! CalFinder offers a free service that connects homeowners with home improvement pros. Check out their Ideas Gallery to find remodeling inspiration for every room of your house.

After looking at those gorgeous pictures I know that my master bath needs some work.

Fun poll! I am very happy with my master bath, especially with fall arriving (it seems to be prettiest in cool weather if that makes any sense at all), but I need to get to my husband’s office. It is truly a disaster!

I voted bathroom. Our master bathroom doesn’t have a bath tub which really irritates me. The space that the shower is in is long enough for a tub. But, just a shower. The entire bathroom is big enough for a tub. So I don’t know why they only put a shower.

I voted for our basement – it’s a disaster area and we really need to make it part of the house! BUT… I so want to renovate our main floor bathroom. Thing is, we need to build a bathroom in the basement first… you know, so we have a place to do all the things one does in a bathroom while we renovate our main floor bathroom. So… it’s all a one-thing-at-at-time life around here!!

I voted for our kitchen. We knew it was bad when we bought the place, so we did the temporary fix-up to make it tolerable. 8 years later, here we are with the same sad kitchen. It’s our most used space, and yet it is probably the room we’ve done the least work on. Now we’re thinking of moving and I can’t bear the thought of finally remodeling only to sell it soon after.
I am in the unusual and rather lucky position that we’ve tackled our bathrooms and kitchen, and now it’s the other rooms that are driving me quietly nuts. I’m taking solace that they should be easier and cheaper to freshen up.
That glass tile is lovely!

Hi Julia!
Well… golly..I was going to write a comment when I got distracted by the pictures below from Hooked On Fridays post! I missed that yesterday and I need to look at it now. Looks way up my ally. But, as for the room I need to remodel most… I guess I have to finish the master bedroom first… then I think we go outside, then the kids room, then… the whole house.
Good to be over here checking out Hooked On Houses!

Wow! 40% want a new kitchen! I guess it doesn’t surprise me. I spend the most time in there, having a better one would be so sweet.

We’re in the middle of a kitchen makeover right now. I’m still trying to convince hubby that the pink oak cabinets have to go!!
I’d love to rip all the pink tiles out the guest bathroom and the green tiles out of the master bathroom, but that’s not going to happen. Otherwise, not too much else in our house I’m desperate to remodel
Homework is almost done, thanks to help from Cheapo-but-good-at-math-hubby

Eh, there aren’t really any rooms here that need to be remodeled because we just built this house 2 years ago. However, we DO need to finish the 3rd floor and start decorating this place! Still waiting on the money tree in the yard to start producing…

Our next project is the kids bathroom. It’s still living in the 1960′s, but does have a fresh coat of white paint. It’s still clean and functions very well, just outdated.

I voted for my kitchen. It’s not bad the way it is, and we have done a few things with it already, like painting the cabinets and putting in a beadboard backsplash. But I would love to put in butcher block counters, hardwood floors, gas appliances, a nice big pantry, and do a few other little things. Slowly but surely it will be done!

Julia,
I love the frameless shower door, tile work and fixtures in this bathroom. It adds up to a great look. When I win the lotto I will move to Maui and custom build!

I’m not sure if I spend more time in the kitchen or the home office, but I just got hubby to take the big ugly TV out of the office. Now I’m trying to make do with dorm-like mismatch items. I need to start over from scratch, but that ain’t happenin’ this year. Guess I’ll have to live vicariously through your reno! You go girl!

The kitchen… It’s horrid… I know exactly what I want, but will most likely have to wait a year to get it done. (we’ve had major projects going on in the house since last November, and now we’re expecting baby no 2 this November… So things have to calm down
Have a great Sunday!!!

It’s so nice to know I am not the only one with a crappy kitchen…..My husband loves to eat but wouldn’t even think about updating the place for me….if my stove ever gave up I think he would just bring in the portable grill….Fridge breaks….the cooler would come up from the cellar…

Can I vote for all of the above? My house is a work in progress…but I’m getting there!

I keep looking in the yard for the money tree that will help us finish off the half finished attic craziness that we inherited with the shorehouse. To date, no tree.
