Hey, I know a lot of you are “Flipping Out” fans like I am because the post I did about the show continues to be a popular one. Remember this hideous painting that Jeff Lewis commissioned of his longsuffering housekeeper Zoila? Remember how much she hated it? Well, she’s getting the last laugh now.
Bravo just auctioned it off, and all of the proceeds are going to her. Here’s the official press release from Bravo TV:
An auction for the portrait of Zoila Chavez, Jeff Lewis’ loving housekeeper from Bravo’s “Flipping Out,” broke records for BravoTV.com, raising over $10,000. The auction for [Zoila] Chavez’s portrait was announced during the “Flipping Out Reunion Special” which aired on Bravo on August 12, 2008.
The painting was featured in an episode this season and was originally given to [Zoila] Chavez as a birthday present from Lewis. The online bidding frenzy lasted for one week, finally coming to close yesterday evening. All proceeds from the auction will go directly to Lewis’ devoted housekeeper.
“If I knew how much the painting was going to sell for, I never would have agreed to surrendering all the proceeds,” joked Lewis. “I am worried that with this much cash in hand, she might leave me. But in all honesty, she deserves every penny for having put up with me for so long.”
The second season of “Flipping Out” scored record high ratings for Bravo, delivering over one million total viewers for four consecutive weeks and earning double-digit growth among total viewers compared to the previous season.

OK, Zoila is hilarious! I never watch this show so I can’t really tell if Jeff is being a jerk seriously. I definitely see the appeal though.
Jeff totally looks like he’s gonna laugh/crack-up when he’s saying, “Who’s going to do my laundry? My breakfast?” He’s got to be joking, don’t you think?
I wasn’t able to get into the show much this season, but the one episode I did watch a little of was the one about his maid’s portrait! LOL I’m so glad she made a lot of money on it, cuz it was really terrible.
Oh…I am lovin this series (tivo…gotta love it!) As a matter of fact…you may be the very one to have turned me on to it. It is too funny!! Hard to believe funny!

I’m a reality show junkie – but this one just makes my heart hurt. I just can’t handle Jeff at all – so I can’t watch. I wish I could though, I’m a house flipper and like to see what other flippers do.
Okay, I just went to the Flipped Out site. Now I’m addicted! I laughed so hard when his house assistant had to take the cat for acupuncture. OMG! What the heck? The trash guy is hilarious too. I love how he’s been fired about 5-7 times. This makes me feel way normal. I thought some of my clients were bad. I’ll watch this and feel better about my crazies.
Good for Zoila! Although, do you ever see her doing real work? I know she puts up w/ Jeff’s BS, but she isn’t even in charge of the grocery shopping!

I’m glad Zoila got the money, she has to put up with Jeff and his little temper tampers , but she’s used to, I like it when Ryan tried to teach Zoila to say to Jeff, BITE ME she kept saying it wrong. that’s soo funny.

FO is my FAVORITE show and Jeff Lewis is the funniest person ever. He completely admits all of his neurosis. I loved when they interviewed for the house manager position. “Do you pee a lot?”

HYSTERICAL! Believe it or not…I only watched this show once. After someone I work with said when “I get in the zone” I remind them of Jeff on “Flipping Out,” I watched it to see who this Jeff was. And was horrified. OK, so I’m a little type A.
