Love the farmhouse in Missouri! Really, what is better in home design than white on white, cream on white? In my mind, nothing. Simple, elegant, livable. Then, any color that’s introduced gets that much more oomph. Thanks for another great post, and happiest of holidays to you, Julia!

I really love your blog by the way. It’s very nice to have this place so I can find beautiful homes and websites without having to look for them myself. So thank you very much!

Julia, I will spend all weekend looking at the Missouri farmhouse. It is soooooooo pretty! And after a year where everything has been gray, I am doing my happy dance over honeysuckle pink. Thanks so much for these fun links. You rock!

I missed your “Truth about House Hunters” post, but just went back and read it. It does make sense that they would do it that way, and I suppose it’s not really a surprise. Just like many of HGTV’s “designers” are not actually qualified interior designers — there is lots of faking going on. But, it does make entertaining TV! I still like to watch the international version when I get a chance, as it is so fun to peek into the homes of other cultures.

The Cottage of the Month is beautiful. I love all the fresh greens they used throughout their decorating. I printed off copies of some of the photos for inspiration next year when I’m decorating. Thanks for sharing.
Merry Christmas.

What Do I Think About Pantone’s Color of 2011?
I think that between the “honeysuckle” of this year and the turquoise of last year, we really have returned to the 50′s! It’s very cheery looking, but I just covered up my 1950′s pink bathroom. I’m not going back!
