Tumble Creek Retreat: A Cabin For Sale in Washington

by hookedonhouses on May 14, 2011

Okay, now this is a cabin for people who aren’t crazy about roughing it on vacation (that would include me). Check out this “Tumble Creek Retreat” in Washington State, surrounded by 2,600 private acres. Unfortunately, with a listing price of over $1.7 million, I won’t be vacationing in this luxury cabin any time soon. But it’s free to daydream, right?

The house has 4 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, and 3 fireplaces. Take a look!
I love the big back porch with the stone fireplace, which looks like a great place to gather:

The view from the porch isn’t bad, either!

Is this your idea of the perfect cabin, or do you prefer them to be more rustic? Having spent some vacations in the more rustic type myself, I’m thinking this luxury version looks pretty good…

Check the listing by Scott Richardson at Windermere Real Estate for more photos and information. Thanks to Kim for finding it!

My brother has a cabin just like this in Tumble Creek, and the cabins are so gorgeous! The whole area is wonderful and relaxing.

OMG, I love this place! Everything about it! The view, the furniture, the kitchen, the outdoors! Can’t I rent it for just a couple of days? I’m actually planning a trip to the US and/or Canada for this summer as we speak and I’d love to stay here for a bit! Ha!

The interior is gorgeous and the views are spectacular. I’m not liking the exterior so much, though. It lacks the charm you would expect to see in a cabin in this price bracket.

That would fit the bill for me! Thanks to the Girl Scouts, I hate camping. The cabin looks like a nice place to get away. The back porch is my favorite…what a fabulous spot!

My drea home is a log home/ranch home. And I promised myself I will be living in one by the time I’m 35. I turn 33 in August and I’m trying to move from Germany to Charlotte, North Carolina. So I’m making my dream come true.
And this house is great. I would move right in!

It’s amazing! From the outside it looks so small and cozy and then once inside it’s unbelievably big, comfy, bright, so well decorated and in an incredible setting with exceptional views and landscape. I could move in anytime.

Mmmmm…..forget the family on this one. Wouldn’t it be a great spot for a girl’s weekend? Coffee and cinnamon buns in the kitchen in the morning, drinking wine on the porch out back while the sun goes down? I say Yes!

I’m in lust! Everything about the house is perfection.

It is beautiful, except for one little thing. Is that the shower through the window behind the bed? I don’t get the deal with wanting to see into the bathroom. This has been in a lot of houses I’ve toured lately.

I love everything about it – interior, exterior, back porch, big-sky views. I agree with all the ‘yes’ comments. I could live there!

This luxury cabin is fantastic! I’ve stayed in a rustic cabin before on vacation, and I have to agree with the other commenter Dawn – this is more my idea of ‘roughing it’! The kitchen is fantastic, the floors are beautiful, and the views are stunning.

Okay, the clincher for me was the outdoor fireplace… gorgeous! I can totally picture having a “girl’s weekend” there with my friends. I don’t see anything wrong with a little luxury when glamping… :)

Wow…those pics have been seriously stretched to give the impression of rooms being larger than they are. That said, I’d take the place in a heart-beat! :-D

Hey, that’s not too far from here (Seattle)…be a great get away, and it’s not too Northwesty either, I like that! The porch is fantastic!!

You know, it did not look that large from the first photo, but man, could I live there and be in house heaven!!!

Now, that’s my kinda cabin!! I think I’d “rough” it more often if I had a cabin like that!

Beautiful “little” cabin. I am just amazed at what people call their cabins sometimes. I always envision something quaint whcih technically that is what a cabin is- a small wood house. I don’t like roughing it either so this would be ideal!

Love it but I could do without the white furniture. I keep thinking a color would be nice–like a buttery yellow in the living room/great room.
