I wonder why the Barefoot Contessa’s store closed? :(

Thank you for the fabulous assortment of reading material, Julia; have an excellent weekend :)

Lot’s of good reading here! I just glanced at the offerings because I like to look at them slowly and carefully, LOL!
Shame on Ina Garten, this story really doesn’t reflect well on her does it? I think the family made a wise decison…no second chance.
Have a wonderful weekend, enjoy your beautiful family and Maizie!

I love Reese Witherspoon! And I looove that house. So So Cal Spanish-y. I grew up about 15 minutes away from Ojai in Ventura. It is a beautiful area! I bet her wedding was stunning. I wonder if they’ll have some babies. :)

Great links Julia, love Reece and so happy for her!

Too sad about Ina’s situation, unfortunately kids remeber Everything, and each day is like a week to them.. I am sure she meant well.

Julia,
I’ve always wondered what Ina’s house looked like…I’ve only seen exterior shots and the kitchen, of course. Thanks for taking us inside. :) I did a post today showing how Villa Laura looks now…the real villa that was used in Under the Tuscan Sun. I think I liked the way it looked in the movie better. :)

I am shocked and appalled at Ina. She’s my fave on the FN. Love Reese’s house. I would get married there too!

Thank you for linking to the frugal fatigue piece. Nice to know I am not alone (though admittedly, I’m somewhat new to this whole frugal living thing), but also just a good reminder that moderation and balance are still always the key. It’s possible to go overboard with being frugal!

I’ve seen Reese’s home before and it is lovely. Getting married there must feel like being married in a resort.

I love the Chronic Frugal Fatigue story. I’m glad you linked to it. While I can’t claim to be consistently frugal, I totally understand the desire sometimes to just buy what you really want! It was interesting. Thanks Julia!
