Those diving girls are wonderful. There is an old hotel in downtown San Jose that has a diving girl on the side. I love that retro look.

Chock full O links! I love the house with the yellow door…I can see why it felt perfect immediately to its owners.
I’ll pass on Tina’s appartment. If I had that much to spend, it would be on property with a restfull view..but that’s just me!
Love the laundry room makeover, and I thought it was nice before it was transformed! The chandelier is perfect!
I want that little notebook…I really do!

Hi Julia
G’day from Downunder! I’m a newcomer to your blog having stumbled on it while looking for houses in movies. I love your blog! I take a quick peak throughout the week (via Facebook), but on Sunday mornings, with a huge cup of coffee by my side, I take my time and read everything, including all of the links. So much info and so many inspirations!
Keep up the great work!
Great links as always Julia. OMG those castles are sooo cool, I want a tour of them ASAP,and this is coming from someone who has never thought casltes were that cool, maybe cause I’m a Disney lover?
. Have a great Memorial Day weekend Julia!
I look forward to this post ALL week. I check out every link and have even made purchases as a result. Thank you for keeping it fresh, unique and inventive. It’s a highlight for me!
For the laundry makeover, I love the appliances, sea blue, and chandelier.
I looked at the castles and got interested in another article called, 10 most dumbest deaths in recorded history. It was pretty interesting. Out of the castles, I loved the Lowenburg, and Neuschwanstein. They would be cool to go see sometime.
That hotel ruin is creepy. It reminds me of some of those old cathedrals you see in countries. I don’t think I will ever stay there when it’s finished.
Now I have to go check out that house in Los Feliz.

LOVE that first photo! Brings back a great memory for me:
When I was a kid, we lived in a typical one-story suburban ranch house that had vertical siding. It was painted white on the top half and chocolate brown on the bottom half, with crisp white trim. My mom got a wild hair one fall, and painted the front door pumpkin ORANGE! She painted some flowerboxes the same color, then filled them with orange marigolds. The neighbors went CRAZY over it but seriously, it was the sharpest lookin’ house on the suburban block.
Good links! On that Sex and the City middle eastern theme-NO THANKS! It’s quite gaudy and I have never found anything I like about it.
Someday, I will have a yellow front door
So happy, I love it.
