Are You Blissfully Domestic?

by hookedonhouses on August 22, 2008

I’m excited! Today I’m introducing myself over at Blissfully Domestic, the popular e-zine for women. I’ll be writing about decorating and houses for them each week.

I’ve got a little quiz you can take to find out if you’re as hooked on houses as I am. So hop on over and check it out! And be sure to leave a comment while you’re there. I’d love to hear from some of my blog friends since I’m the new girl on the B.D. block.

Click here to read my article.

P.S. Thanks for all of your kind and thoughtful comments yesterday. You really cheered me up! Lily had a great first day of school, so I’m feeling much better about sending her back for her second. Plus, I baked a chocolate cake for myself the kids, and cake always helps.

I love your blog and I am a fellow house junkie. I even got my Real Estate license a year ago just so I could have better access and more info on homes in my area. I’m a full time Mom of 5 and Real Estate is a hobby for me not a business. Oh and my best friend is a Realtor too…imagine our conversations…yes we talk houses all the time…it is nice to have a person that relates to the house junkie addiction! We love model home sales too! It is amazing how some Realtors just don’t have a clue on helping their clients in the staging department and some are awful photographers. I must say some clients are very difficult these days as well and think they know more than agents too! If you want some house info in N. GA let me know and I will hook you up. I’m new to the blogging world and wish I would have come up with this cute blog!

J–

I’m sorry I missed commenting yesterday about the first day of school for Lily. She said the absolutely sweetest thing to you!! I’m glad that both of you got through it alright. Cake always helps. :)

I’ve never seen the Blissfully Domestic site, so I’m heading over there. I’m not sure it’s for me though, because domestic is probably the last adjective that people would apply to me.

Congrats! I’m going to check it out now!

I’m glad you could console yourself with some chocolate…really, it works wonders, doesn’t it?

I just read your article – good job. Congrats on the new gig.
Now, as for the quiz…..we are long lost twins.
I do everything on that list (I’m pitiful).
I just looked up a house in our neighborhood that went on the market to look at the inside pictures & the price.
Homes (both mine & others) are my hobby.

Have a great weekend.

I went right over to BD and found you are already popular over there. I know you will be a big success and will get many new readers here as well.

Janet

PS. Could I have some cake, please?

Hi Julia, I was just over at Blissfully Domestic, how great this is for you, and for all of us too, now we have two blogs to read about all the wonderful things about decorating and houses. I hope Lily had a wonderful first day at school. You and your family have a great weekend.

I found your blog through blissfully domestic. Wow, yes to every question about house junkies. I’ve thought about going into real estate just to see how the homes are decorated. I make my husband drive around streets off our main route if we are going somewhere and I think the neighborhood looks “cute”. Can’t wait to start reading the rest of your blog entries. I also live in the Cinti, area. We have lots of great architecture in our little spot in the Mid West. P.
