Whew. I think I’ve got a blog-party hangover. But it was totally worth it. I really enjoyed all of the house tours yesterday, didn’t you? Thanks to everyone who participated!
Here I was so worried I’d throw a party and no one would come. But you did! We had over 40 bloggers participating in the house tour and over 20,000 people showed up to see them. Wow.
Big thanks to everyone who helped get the word out by leaving comments on message boards, e-mailing their friends, and mentioning it on their blogs. It was a success because of you!
I know some of you haven’t had a chance to get through all of the house tours yet, so go ahead and do that while I pop a couple Tylenol and call a “sick day.”
P.S. Should we do this again in the Fall?

Hi Julia,
Thanks so much for hosting the open house. It is great to see other blogs and pick up a few new blogging friends along the way!
I really enjoyed it!
Have a wonderful restful day,
Diane

Oh…Julia…I had such a good time! I loved visiting everyone (didn’t always leave a comment)…and loved the comments I received on my BEFORE pics.
Fall or perhaps the Holidays (when everything is decorated for Christmas) would be GREAT!! By then…I intend to be done and have my AFTER pics.
Thanks for being such a terrific hostess!!
~Blessings,
Jan
FALL? I’ll still be working through this one.
Maybe…winter? Hooked on Holiday Homes?
That will give me time to bake some cookies or something.
I’d definitely show up again! I got a ton of ideas.

Yes! Thanks so much for your work in coordinating the tour. It was so much fun!
That should give me enough research time.

I would totally love to tour a few more homes in the fall! Thanks for all your hard work!

Oh yes, yes! Definitely! It was so much fun!
P.S. Thanks so much for all your hard work coordinating it in the middle of all that Blogger mess. You deserve a nice, long rest!
I can’t believe you were even able to type out this post today! 40 blogs participated yesterday? Really? I guess that is why I served oatmeal for dinner last night!
So fun, Julia! And you are such a sport to want to do it again! Thank you for a fabulously fun day!
OMG I had 400 visits yesterday from your site. Holy cow!
Yes, let’s definitely do this again in the Fall. I had a great time and in fact, am still touring today.
Thanks for the great idea and being such an excellent hostess.
This was so much fun Julia! I’m just thrilled to see you up to it again. I’ll be here whenever you’re game!
Glad to see you’re taking a rest. Enjoy!
Julia – you rock! Wonderful house tour party thingy.
I loved seeing all the houses, streets, towns and even the cemetery.
Hmmm .. if you do it again in the fall that just gives me enough time to flip my (imaginary) house and buy a new one. (In my dreams.)
Thanks for doing this!
I vote yes– It was great to see all of the beautiful homes!
Oh yes, let’s definitely do it.
I too haven’t even gone through half of the tours, but saw several on blog spot and haven’t ever registered there so I couldn’t put in any comments. Every single tour I have seen though was well worth it. People obviously put in lots of work to make there tours very enjoyable.
Our brains are swimming with all of the fun ideas from all of those homes – I think we got to them all – but we will double check……it’s the least we can do!! I think you need to do it again though Julia – work yourself up to it – we know you can, you are such the perfect hostess!! Thanks for everything!

Can’t say thank you enough. I thought maybe 100 people would come by but I was shocked at the counter climbing by 400. I am humbled by all of the nice comments from everyone as well.
I like the idea of the holiday tour. That should give me time to have a few of the many projects done. I’d love to see how everyone decorates for the holidays — I could use some fresh ideas.
Rita
Yes, a fall tour would be fun, fun, fun. I am still working my way thru this one as I have had bad news to deal with.
Thanks for all the hard work and I will try to participate next time!
Janet
What a treat this has been! Beautiful houses, bountiful decorating ideas. Yes, please do it again soon.
Thanks, guys! This really was a lot of fun. I’m already starting to plot and scheme ways to make it even better next time, and I have a few ideas up my sleeve…
Someone has already promised me a “haunted house tour” if we do it again in the Fall. I’d love to see that! -Julia
It was fun going around and seeing the other houses, and seeing everybody’s style of touring.
YES!! Do it again in the fall…late fall!
I will be moving into my new house in early Nov and I want to participate!!
I really enjoyed looking at all of the house tours!
THANKS!
YES!! PLEASE DO!! Maybe our new house will be done so I can add mine! Speaking of, I have a question for you, do you know of a site where I can look up my old house to find out what it is? It was built in the early 50’s here in the Ozarks, it has to be some kind of bungalow? Any ideas would be so appreciated! Thanks and I too really enjoyed the tour, you did a GREAT job!
Sue–I get asked that sort of question a lot. Does anyone know of a good source for people to find out “what” their house is? I haven’t run across any yet.
You may want to try http://www.antiquehome.org. as a starting point, though. There’s a lot of good information about older homes and kit houses there. Good luck! -Julia
I really enjoyed going through these homes, I’m still only half way there so far. Please do it again in the Fall, or sometime in Dec. when the homes are all done up for the holidays. Have a real good rest today, you deserve it. Thanks again, Norma.
Julia Julia Julia….You soo outdid yourself!! WOW! Unfortunately I had to head out to NYC and VA the morning of the tour…and just back now. It’ll take me days to get through all the messages on my blog, and then touring all those other delicious homes…Can’t wait!!!
Thank you for all of your hard work!! Thank you. Thank you!!
