The Vogue Diaries interview series recently stopped by Sarah Jessica Parker’s West Village brownstone to ask her 73 questions, from her phone of choice (“Blackberry”– really??) to what Oprah’s like in real life (“Human”).
I didn’t catch all her answers, though, because I was so focused on the rooms in the background. I took some screenshots as I watched so we can get a closer look at her brownstone.
Take a look!
Inside Sarah Jessica Parker’s Brownstone
I tried to get as many screenshots of the rooms as possible, but it wasn’t easy with the camera zigging and zagging around. These will give you an idea of what you can see in the video, though.
When asked what she thinks is the coolest thing in her living room, she points to these illuminated globes:
She says in the interview that she has lived in the West Village for 13 years with her husband Matthew Broderick and their children, James Wilkie and twins Marion and Tabitha. (When asked what the best gift is that she ever got, she says, “My children.”)
I’m digging her emerald green velvet sofa.
There are lots of bookshelves and artwork in their home that I’d love to get a closer look at.
Beyond that fab arched doorway with pocket doors (swoon!)
is an adjoining living room with a ping pong table and piano.
Speaking of colors, SJP’s favorite? “Peacock blue.”
Her show Sex and the City got a lot of attention for the clothes she wore on it, but I liked the sets, too.
You can see Carrie Bradshaw’s apartment and the makeover it got for the first movie here.
The interview ended way too soon.
I say they go back again and ask 73 more questions, but in her kitchen this time!
Watch the video at Vogue Diaries to hear the answers to all her questions including “Flats or heels?” (Like you couldn’t guess!) 😉
