Have you heard of the lifestyle show “Steven & Chris“? I hadn’t, but that’s because I don’t live in Canada. Today I received a letter from one of the producers. They’re looking for house-proud Canadians who would like to show their homes off to the “Steven and Chris” audience.
Here’s the e-mail:
Hey Julia,
I absolutely love your blog! It’s awesome and I’m pleased to have stumbled upon it.
I’m actually a TV producer in Toronto working on a lifestyle show called “Steven & Chris.” My current assignment is to find “house proud” homeowners across Canada who want to show off and gush about their homes on our show. People who have renovated/decorated/designed their homes all on their own and want to share it with the rest of the world.
If you have been in contact with any homeowners in Canada–Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Saskatoon…please let me know. I’d love to see their homes and chat with them about their “labor of love.”
I’m passing a couple of names along, but I know there are more of you out there. If you’re interested, leave a comment here and I’ll give you the producer’s contact information. Who knows–your beautiful house could make you famous!
Well, darn, wish they’d come down HERE too…I’ve never heard of that show either, will have to check it out.
I’ve just been watching a few new-to-me shows, like The Stagers & Christopher Lowell now has another decor show on & I really like it too.

I used to watch them…back when we had cable and I hadn’t started blogging yet…when they had a show called Design Guys or something like that. They are as pretty as the rooms they design.
So some of you guys can get this show in the States? I have a bazillion channels on my TV but I’ve never seen it. Bummer. -J
I am in the US to but I have seen their show and they rock. I don’t remember what channel it’s on but I have dish. I’m thinking it was on BBC.

These charming funny guys are SO clever at home design! Their shows have always had a large following and fans in Canada. Wish that HGTV would give them a show — it would be a hit!

Steven and Chris used to have a show called the Designer Guys, that was on for a few years, then they had a show called,Design Rivals ,that wasn’t on for every long. They also had a clothes remake kind of a show , Steven would have one lady to remake her fashion wardrobe and make up, and Chris would have another lady and do the same, I can’t remember the name of the show, it was different. So now, this Life Style Show is their 4th show together.
Julia, about that famous thingy..you know me, my brother-in-law knows Richard Gere….you do the math!

If you get busy with your new celebrity (which, by the way is awesome) and you need someone to ‘entertain’ your kids, we’re always here. What is that saying, do what you love….
I used to love their show Design Guys (on HGTV I think?). I loved their design style (sort of “Candace Olsen-ey” but very simple, not overly designed rooms most of the time) and actually had one episode sitting on my Tivo for ever I loved it so much. Plus they bickered with each other like an old married couple which was a hoot. 🙂
