I have a thing for traditional, shingle-style houses in the Hamptons. I even have real estate pages bookmarked for them so I can keep up with new listings.
Today I was excited to come across the one actress Ali Wentworth shares with husband George Stephanopoulos in Southampton, New York, which they recently listed for just under $7 million. Take a look!

George & Ali’s House in the Hamptons
The listing says:
Gracious shingle-style traditional with sunken all-weather tennis and heated gunite pool privately sited at the end of a privet-lined village lane. A gated entry and circular drive lead to the 5 bedrooms/6.5 bath residence built in 2003 with classic Hampton’s style.
“Elegant but not pretentious, the interior rooms offer great scale from the double-height living room with coffered ceiling, fireplace and lit library wall to a formal dining room with custom millwork and a spacious family room with 2nd fireplace adjacent to the kitchen.”
“Multiple French doors access a covered veranda spanning the length of the house, a favorite gathering spot for large-scale dinners and relaxed summer afternoons.”
The house has 5 bedrooms, 6.5 baths, and 4,800 square feet
“The lower level is command central for fun and recreation featuring a large media room with wet bar and wine fridge, custom 1,000 bottle wine cellar, personal gym, game room and spacious guest room featuring four built-in bunks.”
The Beachy Blue Kitchen
According to Realtor.com: “The kitchen is impeccably designed, with a marble island, subway tile, and on-trend white cabinetry. A unique tin ceiling adds vintage appeal to the modern space. Beyond, french doors open directly to the backyard.”
George & Ali, who met on a blind date in 2001, have 2 daughters, Elliot and Harper:
You may remember when Ali was on Oprah’s panel of regular contributors:
She’s also the author of some bestselling humorous books like Ali in Wonderland (Amazon Affiliate Links)…

George, of course, is a co-anchor on GMA:
Back to the house, the listing says:
“The property is lush with well-tended green lawns, a riot of hydrangeas and a dense framing of specimen trees that ensure complete privacy. This special Hampton’s retreat is just minutes from world-class ocean beaches and charming Southampton Village.”
“Entertainers will love the 1.5-acre property. A spacious lawn, perfect for flag football or a grand soiree, is tucked between the pool and sunken tennis court, designed for all-weather play—and a great stress reliever for busy TV people.” So if you’re a busy TV person who entertains, this could the perfect place for you! 🙂

Are you as happy as I am that summer is finally here? It’s been nice to slow down and spend time with my kids now that school is out. TBH most emails are going unanswered these days, and I probably won’t be posting as much, so make sure you’re on my newsletter mailing list if you want to be notified when I do! 🙂
