We’re always looking for houses we can rent with extended family members on vacation, so this farmhouse in Shohola, Pennsylvania, caught my eye.
The listing describes it as a boarding house in the 1800s that’s been updated with “modern amenities in a country setting.”
The website says, “Welcome to our 6 bedroom modern farm! Come stay with friends, hang out and create memorable feasts in the massive kitchen! It’s been on HGTV and in Country Living Magazine.
“Cooper’s Farmhouse is a serene luxury residence located 2 hours from New York City on the border of Pennsylvania and NY State in Shohola, PA. Shohola is Native American meaning peace and tranquility. This property is situated on 5 pastoral acres, overlooking the Catskills of New York.”
It used to be a boarding house in the 1800s for visitors who came for the Shohola Glen Amusement Park.
They even have a beautiful red barn you can rent for events.
