A reader told me about this small stone house that she rents a couple of times a year near Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Olde Creek Cottage dates back to the early 1700s and is thought to have been built by French settlers.
It looks just as charming when it’s covered with snow.
The website says, “In the wooded area east of the house is an original Indian trail. William Penn is said to have traveled over the property several times.”
This looks like the perfect place for a quiet retreat. There’s no TV or Internet to distract you while you’re there.
