This house on the Terrace Park Home Tour had me at its gracious front porch with stained beadboard ceiling, porch swing, and ceiling fans. The home of former town mayor Chuck Rockel, this grand old house was built over a century ago with stones gathered from the nearby Little Miami River.

Welcome to Fantasy Open House Week: “Old Homes Edition.” Today we’re taking a tour of a home built in 1860 before the Village of Terrace Park had been incorporated. At the time it was built, it was near a busy toll road.
