Sorry if this has been requested already, but I would love to see the house from the movie “Derailed” and also both Helen Hunt’s and Mel Gibson’s places in “What Women Want”. Thank you! Love your site!
PLEASE DO THE HOUSE FROM THE NEW SHOW NECESSARY ROUGHNESS-THE REAL HOUSE NOT JUST THE SET
Hey
I am not only hooked on houses but hooked on your blog! Haven’t been caught at work yet……
Can I request:
All the girls houses in ‘Lipstick Jungle’ – miss that show!
‘Barefoot in the Park’ – that cute box apartment!
‘Sunday in New York’ – 1960′s Jane Fonda fan!
Michelle Pfeiffer’s apartment in ‘One Fine Day’
‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s ‘
I could go on…. Please keep up great work! I love your writing style and your trivia – just how my brain works too!
Hello. I would like to know about Mrs. Honey house. From the movie Matilda (1996) with Dani Devito.
I’m trying to find the house plans for the house in the tv movie “Borrowed Hearts: A Holiday Romance”.
I love your site so much!! I would love to see the house from Jerry Maguire, or the homes, bed and breakfast and vacation house from Object of my Affection (with Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd). They are all so cozy! Along Came Polly might be kind of interesting also!
I love California / Arts & Crafts bungalows, have been searching for the plans to the house in The Story of Us for years. If you could post that, I’d be in heaven.
There’s also a good bungalow in the tv series Numb3rs, the father’s house (Judd Hirsch).
And along with several other posters, I’d love to see a layout for Andie McDowell’s apartment in Green Card. I have serious NYC envy there!
Saw the movie THE EDGE (Anthony Hopkins, Alec Baldwin) for the first time recently….fell in love with the rustic lodge on the shore of a lake, supposedly in Alaska, tho the movie was filmed Canada. I ‘ve tried and tried to find photos of this log house..to no avail. Just came across your blog tonight….beautiful and so much fun!
love this blog.
agree that you should do Frasier and Charmed houses. also, the adam sandler movie big daddy has a really impressive loft and the disney movie pixel perfect has a really cool modern house. theres also an old kids movie called blank check which has a medieveal type home. thansk for the fun.
How about “The Accidental Tourist”…esp the scene where they are sitting around the table eating with the china cabinet showing what I think is my Grandmother’s dishes which are in my possession. I was always curious about that and I actually met Gina Davis who knows a friend of mine and I wanted to ask her how to find out if I could purchase them but chickened out as I didn’t want to bug her!
Thx
Joan, I love the house in Holiday Inn also. Oh those windows are just wow. Julia, I can not wait to see. I just found this site today because I was looking for Mary Richards apt. I love that apt. I always vision living there. Oh another house I like is the one in The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. It is another old show. The house is simple but just something about it. Thank you for this site! So much to see!!!
I would absolutely DIE for a post about the house in the Time Travelers Wife. The one they buy after they win the lottery. Everything about it is amazing to me. Thanks!
I adore your site! Please add the floor plan and set designs for “Three Men and a Baby”.
Can you feature the guest house Michelle Pfeiffer lives in in the movie “Wolf”?
I can find no pictures on the web anywhere….had to rent the movie to see it again. The kitchen is a small dream kitchen, with wall to wall windows. I’ve met many people over the years who remember that one scene from the movie! Would love to see good photos of it. Love your website!
I’d love it if you could add pictures of 221B Baker Street from the 2009 Sherlock Holmes Movie!
Hi Julia,
I love your site and mentioned it in a speech I gave (on interiors inspiration from online and TV) at the Grand Designs Live Show in London in May. I’m doing the same speech at their show in Birmingham in October.
Anyway, I’d love it if you would feature JLo’s apartment from The Back Up Plan in particular her bedroom. I loved that room and feel I may be ready for my bedroom taste to ‘grow up’ a little!
Thanks so much,
Sam
I would love to see the house from the movie “Knocked Up” please!
How about “Blast From the Past” great 50′s
Check out the house on the new USA series. “Necessary Roughness”. It is beautiful
?????Maybe you could show photos of the adorable home in “Phoebe in Wonderland.” I also love the little playworld she gets for her birthday.??
I just love the website! Always nice to see someone who loves houses as much as I do
Was wondering if I may request to see “The Golden Girls” house and Aunt Josephine’s house from the movie “Lemony Snicket’s: A Series of Unfortunate Events”? These are some of my favorite houses in movies and television, and I’m actually surprised the “Golden Girls” house was NOT on the list already!
Besides that, the website is wonderful! Love the “Practical Magic” page! Another fave of mine
Hi Julia! love youre website! I just thought of a movie that would eb great to see! The Penthosue apartment from Three Mena and baby. love that movie!!
Erin
Hi Julia! I am watching the movie “Evening” with Vanessa Redgrave, Claire Danes, etc. The film takes place in Newport, RI and the house is magnificent. I thought you might like it…it’s right up your alley! And, of course, I’d love to see more:)
Hi Julia, Great website! My favorite movie house is the estate from the movie Wedding Crashers. Do you have any info on that beautiful home?
Thank you!
Rob
I loved that house but haven’t done any research on it. I do know a lot of it was filmed in Maryland, but I’m not sure where that house was specifically. If anyone else has any info about it, fill us in!
Cannot believe it took me this long to discover Hooked on Houses! Amazing, thank you! I would love to see the house from Panic Room. I searched through the comments to see if this has been a previous request or is covered somewhere on the blog, but didn’t see anything. Admittedly I have only been on the site for four hours since finding it this afternoon.
Perhaps I will come across it if I overlooked it. Again, thanks for my new favorite site!
Hi there!
I just watched the movie “Cold Mountain”. With Nicole Kidman and Jude Law. Love it. Have you thought of featuring “Ada’s” house. Very pretty farmhouse and grounds.
thanks,
Becca
i love your website! I personally love the house from the movie Christmas with the Kranks…I would recommend it!
I love the movie because of the house!
Hello Julia, just got “hooked” onto your website looking for more pics of Jennifer Anistons house in Beverly Hills, thanks for the pics! I was just wondering if you could help me out…since you seem to have connections with pics, I have been looking for more photos of the house on the movie “the Mechanic” with Jason Stathom, it was out in 2011. It is a gorgeous house and at the end of the movie the actor blows it up, I actually felt sick!:)
If you could send a link or let me know what site to go to (that is secure safe:) that would be much appreciated.
Thanks for being even crazier about houses than I am, it’s nice to know I am not the only junkie:)
Julie
Hi, Julie! I haven’t seen “The Mechanic,” so I don’t know anything about it. Sorry! I wish I had a go-to site to find photos of movie houses, but I usually have to snap them myself while watching the movies on my laptop. You might want to try that if it’s out on DVD!
Interesting. I will have to try that. But I encourage you to watch the movie, good show, great house:)
How about the guesthouse on the TV show Royal Pains? It’s fabulous – can you find pics of it? Thanks!
Hi Julia! Great blog…
I was wondering if you know the location of the house that was used in the 1989 movie “Parenthood” with Steve Martin. The house I’m referring to is the Buckman home, which from the outside looks like it’s set on the water. Do you know where this home is located, and do you have any photos of the real home?
Thanks for your help!
Karen Armstrong
I’m afraid I haven’t researched that house, so I don’t know anything about it. Sorry, Karen!
Hi Karen & Julia!
Parenthood the movie was filmed in and around the College Park neighborhood of Orlando Florida. I love Helen’s house and Frank’s (grandpa) house in the movie too! The house used for Helen’s is on Eastin Ave, Frank’s is on Smith, and Gil’s house is on Lakeside Dr. near the Leu Gardens. Could you please put these houses from Parenthood the movie to your list to do? Thanks!!!
Lorelee
Thanks, Lorelee! That information is very helpful. I had no idea where it was filmed. I’ll get around to posting photos from “Parenthood” eventually–it’s on my list!
I don’t recall if I’ve suggested this before but I’m watching In Her Shoes again and the interiors are great. From the architectually beautiful Philadelphia home of Rose to the colorful Miami house of the grandmother.
Charlie Harper’s Malibu house on Two and a Half Men….
I’ve become obsessed with looking at houses in movies, often google them as I’m watching lol
I’ve come across a few older less known movies that have great houses:
A Memory in my Heart – Jane Seymour movie, the house she was in when she was married before loosing her memory.
Crimes of Passion: Sleepwalker – this one has a lovely three story type house.
I’m not sure if I am confusing a couple of movies but I think there is a few nice houses in Something New. I could be wrong though. I remember a low set house with amazing front doors. Which reminds I love the doors for Nathan and Hallie Scott’s house in later seasons after high school!
Thanks for this website.
Edit – the Nathan and Hallie Scott from One Tree Hill TV series is why I was talking bout.
Please, please do the house from ‘Are We Done Yet?’ I love everything about that house!
Hello! I love, love, love your site, it’s my favourite place to spend a rare half an hour of peace when the kids are occupied! I was wondering whether you knew anything about the house from Arthur and the Invisibles movie? I know the film was French produced, so most probably the location was France too? I love the house, the land, the whole feel of the property. I will keep checking back with your site for more gorgeous house-dreaming! Thank you.
Angela, UK xxx
Hi, Angela! I’ve never heard of “Arthur and the Invisibles.” I’ll have to look for that one!
Hey, Julia! I just watched The Courtship of Eddie’s Father this weekend (Glenn Ford/Shirley Jones)..and WOW, are you going to LOVE the blue-and-cream apartment Shirley has. It’s a mid-century honey! Enjoy!
Kay
I have to admit I didn’t realize there was a movie. I remember watching reruns of the TV series when I was little. I’ll look for the movie that started it all–thanks, Kay!
I’ve been hunting around to find the original house used in the movie Hook. It is the house in London where granny Wendy was living. I’ve never forgotten the children’s bedroom with the alcoves for their beds and the window with the little gate in front of it. Does anyone know if a real house was used in that movie and was it in London?
Thanks
Oh my goodness, Julia, I could stay on your site forever. You’ve done such a great job presenting all these gorgeous scenes from amazing houses.
I’d love to see the beautiful apartment in Alyssa Milano’s cute movie called, Sundays at Tiffany’s. The entire apartment is gorgeous but there’s a room in the movie that was done in a striped yellow and blue combination that I’d love to see here.
Off to enjoy your other posts…little by little.
hi julia! i recently saw the movie “due date” and really liked the (layout of the) home of jamie foxx’ s character… can you do a post on it? would love to see better pics than the ones i have in my head:)
Can you do a segment on Sookie’s house from True Blood (HBO Series)? She has a traditional home with a wrap around porch. Very cute…(especially when it was “renovated” this season (Season 5).
You may also enjoy the house of her neighbor Bill Compton, its a Southern Plantation home based on a real home in Louisiana.
Hi! LOVE LOVE LOVE your website. I have a suggestion on another beautiful home to add (I actually came here today hoping you’d have pictures) – Ben Affleck’s house in “The Company Men.”
Happy Posting!
Stef
The lake house in “On Golden Pond.” Love the movie, adore the house.
I’m planning a vacation to The Manor on Golden Pond and can’t wait. It looks fabulous. I found it while searching online for information about where the movie was filmed. Best feature=no children under 12! (Hey, I teach school. I NEED a break from kids.)
Just saw in the paper this morning that Katherine Hepburn’s home has been listed. It’s probably already in your pipeline!
Your website helps me beautifully fritter a little time every day, and keeps me tuned into keeping our surroundings attractive. Thanks!
We rented a lame movie from redbox the other night, but the house was fantastic! Check it out– it was called “Waiting for Forever” starring Rachel Bilson, Blythe Danner, Niki Blonsky and a few other familiar faces. I love your blog!
Hocus Pocus from 1993!!! That has two adorable old houses, and it is such a fun Halloween movie! The neigbhorhood is adorable too. That could be a great one for the fall. Even if you don’t feature it, you should definitely watch it. It would be right up your alley!
Thanks so much for all of your work on this site! It is such a great escape from my work day. It takes me far away!
Sincerely,
Michelle
Just stumbled on your blog and I think it’s so much fun! I’ve always wondered about the house featured in Legends of the Fall as the Ludlow home in Montana. It’s such a beautiful home in such an amazing location. So there’s another idea for you!
Thanks!
Hi – I love your web site. I was wondering if you have any info on the house used in the movie Now Voyager with Betty Davis. And – the name of the castle used in High Spirits, in the movie it was Castle Plunket. Would love to see them in detail inside and out.
Thanks for your help in advance
Susan
I am “hooked” on your site. Any possibility of doing a post the the Little Women house, partically the newer one with Susan Saradon or know of some one who has?
i am so surprised there isnt one of these on the house from the remake of when a stranger calls. the movie had terrible acting skills but the house in it was one of the most amazing modern houses ive seen.
Hi,
Is it possible to see pictures of inside the house of Bill Rancic’s house in Chicago that he sold?
Thanks!
can i suggest that u use the “scooby doo: mosters unleashed” Mystery Inc. headquartes – that’ll get a few eyes. FYI – the what lies beneath house – amazing
Hi,
can you update the brothers and sisters house, plz — i love that house and would LOVEEEEE to see more of the interior?
thanks x
I would love it if you could feature the home shown in “Door in the Floor” with Jeff Bridges and Kim Basinger. It was a gorgeous estate, possibly on Long Island – and the house and out buildings were great.
Thanks so much! Barb
Hi. Just wondered if you have ever seen the movie “the boys are back” with Clive Owen?
Its set in OZ and wondered if you have any idea about the house it was filmed in…its a stunner!!!
Thanks
I don’t think so–doesn’t ring a bell, anyway!
Do you happen to have photos of the house featured in The Change-Up? The decorating (particularly of the bedrooms) looks fantastic!
Yes! Please show us more from this house, it looks amazing from the previews!
I live in Evansville, IN and enjoyed your post about “A League of Their Own”. We like to watch the movie and see our hometown ball field. It was an exciting summer to have celebrities filming here!
I had left a previous post about the house from The Ghost and Mrs. Muir TV series. In the series widow Carolyn Muir leaves Philadelphia with her two children and leases “Gull Cottage” in the small town of Schooner Cove Maine. The house used was actually in Montecito Californa and according to Zillow.com is now for sale. The link is below and I hope everyone enjoys the pictures of this beautiful home.

You have a great site! It is very addicting! I have a couple of suggestions — the Kent farmhouse on Smallville, and the fabulous house from Charmed. Thanks!
Love love love your website!! One suggestion….”Cheaper By The Dozen” house!
Yes! I was just thinking the same thing! Love that house.
Just found your blog! I love it. It is amazing and fun to read.
I hope you do a post on the house in the movie: “Insidious” and “The Others”.

Hey I was just wondering if you could give me any information about the lovely estate in the movie Jumping the Broom. My family is wondering if it’s rentable.
Thank You.
Blythe Danner was in a movie based on the Anne Tyler book of the same name, Back When We Were Grown-ups. The house interiors just knocked me out. Any chance of you giving us a tour on your (fabulous!) blog?
Thanks.
I would love to find out more information on the house featured in the movie “Unfaithful” with Richard Gere and Diane Lane. I’m assuming it is supposed to be in Westchester Co, NY (my grandparents lived in North Salem for many years).
It may be a little early in the year to think about Christmas decorations, but I loved the houses in Deck the Halls with Danny DeVito, Matthew Broderick, Kristen Davis, and Kristen Chenoweth. I would love to see pictures from those scenes!
Thank you!
What a great site!! I just found it and I’m in love. We could be twins… I’m notorious for picking movies to watch just because of the houses in them. I think my love for brit type movies is due to the grandeur of the homes. You listed so many of my favourites (way too many to list). Here are some suggestions:
Weekend at Bernie’s, Grey Gardens, Lasata (Jackie Kennedy family home), Amityville Horror, The Others, Great Expectations (Ringling bros house), Green Card, Remains of the Day, Proof of Life, Hannibal, Red Dragon, Gosford Park, Forest Gump
Thanks… Have a good one
Hiya just want to say my sister and i love your site…we can always forgive a bad movie if the set designs are to die for…anyway could you see if you could dig up some images of the beachhouse from the movie after the sunset….it looks so exotic and sumptuous….many thanks jeanne
Hello Julia!
Just wanted to add another suggestion for a possible future feature….I saw the new movie Friends with Benefits with Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis and both their apartments were so dramatically different…one so masculine and the other so feminine, I loved them both. As well as the beachfront home JT’s characters sister and father lived.
Hey Julia,
I saw a small independent film a few days ago called, “Rabbit Hole.” It has a lot of big named stars like Nicole Kidman and Dianne Weist, but got very little promotion.
Anyway, almost the entire movie is set in a craftsman influenced house that is TO DIE FOR!!! Just minutes into the movie I knew this would be a house for you to feature. I hope you can find out more about it so I can add some pics to my dream house file :O)
Anxiously awaiting your thoughts,
Leiane
Cool post and I like it. I think all of these movies were great. Thank you for this awesome post. Keep sharing fabulous post. God bless.
Charles A
I cannot wait to see the house from The change Up! It’s got board and batten, wainscotting, great colors, the bathroom is gorgeous! Can Not Wait!
the house in bicentenial man is also fantastic can that be put on?
Great site! Do you know where the house from the show “Yes, Dear” is located?
Hi there,
Love this website! I thought I was the only one with this affliction. Question to add to your quiz: do you ever get of your car and try to peek into the windows to see what things look like inside? This makes my husband crazy ;-D
Other movie houses that I love (do you sense an 80′s theme?):
Moonstruck: Cher’s house, 19 Cranberry St, Brooklyn Heights NY
Big Chill: Harold and Sarah’s home, Tidalholm Mansion, Beaufort SC
Roxanne: Roxanne’s house, 1020 Sugar Mountain Way, Anmore BC, Canada
Mystic Pizza: Charlie’s family mansion, 35 Church St, Stonington CT
house that Tim is renovating, 6 Water’s Edge Rd, Westerly RI
Thanks so much for all this fun,
I recently stumbled onto this site and absolutely adore it. Awesome job! It’s made me realize that I’ve always been “Hooked on Houses” both in real life and on the big screen. I’d love to see you showcase the house from the movie “Premonition” with Sandra Bullock. If I recall correctly… it was simple, yet elegant. And, for whatever reason the large, plain white cabinet-ed kitchen captured my interest.
I miss you movie house features & cannot wait for their return. I know you get many requests, but could you look into these? The houses featured in “The Help”, the floorplan of the real “Up” house built in Utah, the “How to Make an Ameriucan Quilt” house and the floorplans of the “Swing Shift” bungalow court?
Thank you, enjoy the Summer.
Don’t worry, I haven’t quit them entirely. I thought I’d take the summer off, but I think I only missed a couple of Mondays because I kept finding movie houses I wanted to write about. I’ve got another one coming next Monday that I’m working on right now. I’m glad you like them!
I would LOVE to see the apartment from PS I Love You.
PS.. I love your website/blog! Thank you for sharing
So very nice to trip upon your website! Love it!
Just something I was wondering …
I kind of can’t believe you’re “hooked on Houses” in the Movies and you’ve overlooked that wonderful classic black and white Christmas Movie:
“The Bishop’s Wife” with Cary Grant; Loretta Lynn; and David Niven.
Spectacular house interiors, glorious woodwork of old world craftsmanship!!!
All the details make me drool, and remind me of my grandparents home.
Take a look see, sometime — I’m sure you’ll enjoy!
Thank you.
I think what you have created here is marvelous and I have only one request, for the original ITV’s Upstairs Downstairs’s 165 Eaton Place, & possibly the one from the remake.
Also maybe the apartment from Miss Pettigrew lives for a day.
were is reba house she played in at how do u find it????
On one of your Movie Mondays could you possibly do “Green Card”?
I love your website and am definitely hooked on homes! I was wondering if you have or will add the Desperate Housewives homes to your list! I am such a fan of Gilmore Girls and Brothers & Sisters so I was excited to see them! With the Housewives, it would just be complete! Thank you!
You have beautiful homes on your site. I love looking at old homes in movies and wishing I could have one just like it. My three favorites right now are from Under the Tuscan Sun, Practical Magic (I really want a garden like that ) and the Kent Farm from the TV show Smallville. You should definately check out that farmhouse it is gorgeous!
Hello!
I recently watched the movie “One Day” with Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess and the house where the couple lives together at the end of the film was just so gorgeous that I wanted you to investigate. It’s a red bricked, white windowed British cottage with an amazing garden, wooden floors and mix of antique and modern furniture.
Thank you so much!
Hi Julia,
Any chance you can find these houses? Some are them I submitted a couple of years ago, but still have not seen them listed?
“Stella” with Barbara Stanwick (both houses staircases and living rooms)
“Sweet Home Alabana” (Colonial home – Entrance/Foyer, Staircase)
“Godford Park” (kitchen and living room)
“Ghosts of girlfriends pasts” ( outside of house)
“Whisper” (outside of house)
“Taken” (mothers’s house, staircase)
“My Girl” entrance/foyer
“Hush” with Jessica Lange – Kitchen, Entrance/Foyer, Stairs
“Single White Female” – Apartment Large Window
“Panic Room”
“Baby’s Day Out”
Are you working on any of these movies at the moment? Thanks!
The ones I’m working on now are: “The Ghost and Mrs. Muir” (both TV and movie versions of Gull Cottage), “Green Card,” “Cheaper by the Dozen,” The Nanny Diaries,” “The Good Wife,” “The Kids Are All Right,” and “The Joneses.” Those will keep me busy for a while. I now have a list of over 1,000 reader requests that will keep me busy even longer. Sorry I can’t get to everyone’s favorites right away–I’m working as fast as I can on them!
HI Julie,
Loooving Hooked on Houses, thank you so much.
I would also like to see more about Bree’s House on Desparate House Wives.
kind regards,
Nadine
Hi Julia,
I forgot to add the movies:
“The 2 Mr. Kissels” (John Stamos’s Mansion in the movie)
“Wedding Crashers” Secretary Cleary’s House (Christopher Walken’s house)
Rene Clair’s “And then there were none” (1945) Movie. (Novel by Agatha Christie)
There’s a massive gorgeous “Fireplace” in the Living room” seen in the beginning of the movie. It’s an old Black and White movie starring Barry Fitzgerald, Walter Huston and Louis Hayward.
Thanks again! I love looking inside all these “old” great homes like “Gone with the Wind” that you posted. The old movies have the best Architecture and detail to the houses.
Hi,
Would you be able find pictures from the movie ” Mrs. Winterbourne”?
I loved every room in her house including, Bedrooms, Baby’s Room, Kitchen,…
Thank you.
Do you have any pics or info for the house in “The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer”? One of my favorite houses!
Thanks.
Marianne
Have you considered showing the father’s house from the National Treasure movies?
Thanks, Suzanne
Hi, my favorite movie house is the brownstone from The Squid and the Whale. It is fabulous !
hI jULIA, i LOVE your blog…..there is a movie with carole Lombard and Cary
Grant,”In Name Only”. Carole rents the cottage that Cary eventually buys for her and redoes it . We actually get a walk through….it”s darling…. dutch doors, wide plank floors, and fireplaces to die for. Old movies have the most wonderful sets as you know….you’ve shown most of my favorites. Thanks again..I’m hooked !!!!!
I forgot to ask you ….is the mansion in “Old Gringo” an actual house or just a set, it’s so lavish…just wondered….thanks again…Carol
Hmmm…no idea. Can’t picture that one!
Bob Mapplethorpe’s Parents’ House in the movie “Bottle Rocket”
Bob’s house is located in north Dallas, off of NW Highway. Incidentally, it was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
ADDRESS INFO:
9400 Rockbrook Dr.
Dallas, TX 75220-3948
It’s a gorgeous period house of flagstone with a classic yard – also very North Dallas.
Thanks!
Hi Julia,
Thanks for writing such an interesting blog. I’m completely addicted! (I’m an architectural historian, so I feel like I can justify the hours I spend on your site…hehehe)
I have a suggestion for a movie/TV house – “A Wedding”, directed by Robert Altman in 1978. I saw it this weekend on Netflix, and immediately thought of your blog. While the film may not be everyone’s cup of tea (dark comedy, overlapping dialogue, lack of a clear plot)…the house is amazing!
It was filmed at the Lester Armour house in Lake Forest, on Chicago’s North Shore. The house was built in 1931 by David Adler, with interiors by Frances Elkins (his sister and collaborator). At the time of filming, the interiors and estate were completely intact, so the movie is a great way to see how the “other half” lived in the 1930s.
Photos & more information about the house is included in Stephen Salny’s “The Country Houses of David Adler.” (pp. 146 – 159). GoogleBooks link below:
http://books.google.com/books?id=BIbNLkbCANoC&pg=PA158&dq=lester+armour+david+adler&hl=en&ei=DztdTuLjBbKHsAKIkb0T&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CC4Q6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=lester%20armour%20david%20adler&f=false
In the early 1980s, the house was sold. The estate was subdivided, and the main house was largely gutted and redecorated for a charity show house. Mrs. Armour’s fabulous mirrored dressing room somehow found its way to the townhouse of Miles Redd, a New York interior designer. (page 1 of portfolio, top right corner)

Enjoy! Thanks again for such great articles!

Would love to see the house featured in the movie “Rabbit Hole” where Nicole Kidman’s character lived…gorgeous, especially the kitchen.
I would love to see the house from the movie The Company Men starring Ben Affleck & Sloan’s house in the HBO series Entourage.
Thanks,
Elizabeth
Wonderful blog! I stumbled in looking for info about the “Sleepless In Seattle” house & have been thrilled by the great site you have created.
So many great suggestions already & I’d like to add “Play Misty For Me” because I was always intrigued by that pond & footbridge Dave had in his living room.
You should do a page on the houses in Executive Suite. William Holden’s house is quite a spread for a struggling engineer, but it features just about everything you look for in mid-century modern. I think we see at least one house belonging to one of the “old guard” executives — I think it’s Frederic March’s house, colonial revival. We also see Barbara Stanwyck’s place — she spends most of the movie weeping — and the apartment one of the heavies has his doxie stowed. Lots of different housing!
Love the houses in all of the following:
Careful He Might Hear You (refined, tropical elegance–old school)
Australia (Nic0le Kidman’s house)
I Dreamed of Africa (both the one in Italy and the one in Africa)
Message in a Bottle (Kevin Costner’s h0use, of course)
When a Man Loves a Woman
and I still love Tarzan and Jane’s tree house!
Does anyone know the name of the china pattern in the scene in Unfaithful where Diane Lane is washing dishes? And if it’s available? I’ve been trying to find this out for years!! Someone help me, so I can sleep again…?
Does anyone know the name of the china pattern in the scene in Unfaithful where Diane Lane is washing dishes? And if it’s available? I’ve been trying to find this out for years!! Someone help me, so I can sleep again…?
I am obsessed with the house in “What Lies Beneath”. I watched it again this weekend. I will probably move to Vermont in a year or so. You said the house is in Addison. Do you know anymore about it? Is it still there or not? Can it be seen?
Thanks, Carin
Did you see my post about it?
http://hookedonhouses.net/2009/10/18/a-house-to-die-for-what-lies-beneath/
I’m sorry to say it was torn down after filming.
I have a movie home request: “About Schmidt” with Jack Nicholson.
Not only is it a fantastic movie (just watched it again last night) but the house is beautiful!
I have a movie home request: “Chloe” the house is amazing and beautiful!
i would also really like to see Sloan’s kitchen from Entourage…been searching for images without much luck.
I would love, love, LOVE it if you could do something on Lena’s boarding house from the SciFi series Warehouse 13!!!
Just rewatched “Kiss the Girls” with Ashley Judd and Morgan Freeman. How about the house used for Ashley Judd’s character. I found the house quite enchanting.
Thanks,
Kat, from Washington
Love you site and will definitely share it with some friends. I know that you are not a horror fan but take a look at the original and remake of The Haunting, particularly the solarium and the library. Wonderful set design.
Are we Done Yet? That house was beatiful

Hi! In the movie “Contagion”…..Jory’s bedroom: PLEASE please please help me find this bedspread!! It is so pretty! And does anyone have an idea on the paint color too??
did you ever find an answer to this? I am very interested too!!
Hi Julia!
I’ll start by telling you how much I LOVE your website! Honestly, I’m addicted so keep up the amazing work! I just saw the movie “Jumping the Broom” and thought it was histerical! The best part was the breathtaking house in which it was set! Can you please look into it more? I’d really appreciate it!
Thanks!
Timmy
The house they move into, in Africa, in the movie, “I Dream of Africa” is really beautiful! You should consider it!
From Australia…Love this site thank you!
Not sure if it has come up but I would love to see the 4 houses in A WOMAN SCORNED, THE BETTY BRODERICK STORY. The full movie is on YOUTUBE and I have paused one of the shots containing a magic house and the street shows as Via De La Paz (I think). I know the movie was set in san diego but not sure if this was the location. There are 4 superb houses. 1. Betty and Dan’s home, 2. My favourite..the one they move into in Via de la paz while first one is being repaired..3. Betty’s new house (my least preferred)..and 4. Dan and girlfriends new white house.
Love the paint color on the wall in the home office in the summer series tv show Necessary Roughness. Anyone know what it is?
I am dying to know more about the house faetured in teh George C. Scott mystery film, “The Changeling”. Supposedly, it was set in the Seattle area. The house was burned to the ground- in the film, which could have certainly been orchestrated by film magic (I don;t think they had the computer magic down, in those days). Nevertheless, it is a haunting old house and in the film, it certainly appeared to be very real. Question: If it was a real house, does it still exist did they indeed burn it down for the filming? Any information would be well-appreciated. Thank you.
The house was actually in Vancouver, British Columbia. A colleague told me that this home was just down the street from her parents. Sorry I don’t have any further info.
Thanks, Anne! I didn’t know anything about that one.
Julia,
Your website is amazing! I have been a fan now for over a year! I couldn’t believe this kind of website existed and it’s great to know others share my same passion for architecture and design. You MUST add the house from “I Don’t Know How She Does It,” as it is beautiful! When you get a chance. I’m sure it’s one others will be inquiring about soon also.
Thank you so much! I love this website!
Whoops, I didn’t see the link to this page for requests, so I just sent an email. Sorry! I watched the new series Revenge last night on ABC, and I was drooling over the Grayson’s Hamptons house. Seriously, I don’t care about the storyline when there is a house like that going on in the scenes! I will be tuning in just in hopes that they will show more details in coming episodes. Maybe, after more episodes this season, there would be enough shots for a post?! Anyway, I love your blog, so thanks for feeding my crazy house obsession each day!
Your wish is my command. You can see the post I wrote about “Revenge” here:
http://hookedonhouses.net/2011/10/03/the-hamptons-beach-houses-on-the-tv-show-revenge/
I am now addicted to this blog! One movie house that I would love to see more of is the one on, “The Patriot”. It is a plantation home and I think the style is charming.
Hello Julia – I will eventually get around to reading all of your past posts, because there isn’t a one I haven’t thoroughly enjoyed, and giggled over the fact that I’m not the only one with this strange obsession of needing to know every detail of every house I come across. Given your pleasure both in houses, and in pop culture, I can’t imagine that you don’t already know about this book, http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/1579121071/ref=si_aps_sup?p=random&ie=UTF8&qid=1316909736#reader_1579121071
but just in the rare chance you haven’t, I would be highly remiss, given the pleasure you’ve given me through your blog, not to make sure that you at least, know about it. It will, no doubt, be a huge kick.
I think the bungalow house from the T.V. show “Life Unexpected” is really cute. It would be great to see it on your site.
I was thinking to myself the other day about a house on one of my shows, and I had to check and see if you’d done it yet, But I don’t think you have. It’s a newer show called Pretty Little Liars. There are 4 girls, so 4 homes, I especially like Aria’s Home and Spencers. Maybe it will make your list one day!
Here’s some information for those of us who fell in love with the house in “The Change up”. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/home_blog/2011/08/change-up-movie-sets.html
I hadn’t seen that article–thanks, Dawn!!
Can you post some pictures from “The Good Wife”, please?
Alicia’s flat is amzing…especially her kitchen. Thanks!
Working on a post about it right now. Love that show!!
Please Julia, have you seen the incredibly house in the movie Gosford Park?
It’s in England and gorgeous!!
I was hoping that you would post photos from the movie: the War of the Roses. I like watching that just to catch glimpses of the house.
Best Website EVER!
I will watch movies I don’t even like over and over just to see the houses.
I will watch movies I love, and never really pay attention because Im focusing on the the houses and location!
What I cannot stand is that so many movies are filmed in Canada now!
I would love to see your take on:
Fried Green tomatoes (house in the country) and
The Upside of Anger
Thanks for a great website!
In the movie “Fireproof” with Kirk Cameron, I absolutely love the color of the
walls in the dining room of their room. Kirk is lighting candles toward the middle to end of the movie, and the walls are a rich gold color. I am trying to locate the paint color and possible brand of paint that was used on the set in this room. Do you know?
Tx!
This may be an unusal request. I just watched the movie Matilda with my nieces and I absolutely fell in love with Miss Honey/ Miss Trunchbull’s home. Throughout the movie, it’s shown in pretty bad condition but I still love it. Only at the end does it show the house in good condition. And it has a back staircase going into the kitchen. (Although, it’s quite messy and you don’t see it but once. )
I’ve tried to find information about it, but I have been unsuccessful. Hope you can help out.
I love your website and glad to know I’m not the only one with this obsession.
You are not “the only one with this obsession” indeed. Growing up watching this movie in the 1990′s, I myself have always loved that house. I am very architecturally inclined. You might say I have an “edifice complex.” I have been searching diligently all across the Internet as well trying to find more information. Here is the only thing I can find on that very stately Victorian homestead. Go here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/hoffarth/4475485388/#/. Oh, and if you have watched Scream 2, that house was indeed used for the sorority in which Sarah Michelle Gellar’s character met an unpleasant demise.
That’s a great photo of the house. Thanks for the link, Elijah!
What about the apartment from Just Like Heaven? I love that movie and the flat is amazing!
Great site! You have so many of my favorites here – the only one I don’t see is from “The Muse”. Thanks.
recently I’ve watched “When a stranger calls”with Camilla Belle.I wonder if anyone knows where the house is located or to whom it belong cause it si perfect, almost like a dream house at least to me.
how bout some photos of that wonderful porch in Top Gun?
I too am looking for the china pattern used by Diane Lane in the movie Unfaithful. Is it available? It is driving me nuts!
I can’t say I ever even noticed the china in that movie. Your best bet is to take a photo of it from the movie (get a screenshot, print it out) to a place that sells china and ask them.
I love your site. It’s wonderful. How about “One True Thing” starring Meryl Streep.
I love your site – was wondering if you could do one for the new movie “What’s your number” with Anna Farris and Chris Evans. More specifically where the iron bed in her apartment is from I am in love with it! Thanks
I love that bed too, but i’m dying to find the comforter/duvet that was on the bed! here’s a link to a pic of the bed and the bedding if anyone can help us!
http://www.flickr.com/photos/48819044@N03/6204575842/in/photostream/
I only saw it briefly but it looked like it would be gorgeous. House atop a bluff overlooking a river, in the movie RED w/Bruce Willis. Helen Mirren’s character lived there. I only caught a glimpse but it looked familiar, like maybe it had been used before for something.
Hi! Wondering if I could request a post about a T.V. house? The country home from I Love Lucy. =) Is that a dorky request? I’m the I Love Lucy show’s biggest young fan, and I love that country house in West Port! The kitchen with the brick…the separate study…the big fireplace with the two sets of couches….!
I was wondering if you could give me any info on the chair used in Revenge that Victoria sits in? My husband really likes it and I would like to know who makes it and if they have a collection I can search through. I appreciate any information you could give.
Sorry, but I don’t have any furniture source information–just the photos!
I got that chair last week at…kid you not…homegoods!!!
Hi Cc!
I too am very interested in the Revenge chair. I noticed your post about purchasing it at your Homegoods store. Could you by chance tell me who made the chair? I cannot find it at mine! Thank you so much!
Hi love the site.
Would love to see you feature the studio/loft apartment of Carly and Spencer Shay in iCarly. It’s a really great space – lots of fun, colourful and quirky.
My daughter loves that show, and the sets really are fun!
Did you ever see the made for TV reunion movie for the old TV Show “Father Knows Best”. I loved that house when I would watch the TV series as a child, but the reunion movie showed it finally in color. I always wanted a house with a layout like that. If you could find that reunion movie and feature it on your website, that would be great. BTW — I love you website. I loved to look at it.
Has anyone ever thought of Mildred Pierce? Would love to see her house.
I did. I posted about it here:
http://hookedonhouses.net/2011/04/03/the-beach-house-from-joan-crawfords-mildred-pierce/
I’m surprised to not see the house from “The Pacifier”. I love that house!
I just haven’t had a chance to feature every great movie house yet. Give me time…
I have had a passion for a movie house ever since I saw the Nicolas Cage movie “Knowing”. The house he lives in is beautiful and I’d love to know more about it but I can’t seem to find anything about it on the web!
These Television and Movie Houses are my favorite part of your blog!
I was surprised you haven’t posted on the house from the TV show Charmed. I think it would be something to look into the house is very beautiful!
I never watched that show. A reader sent me some photos of the house but I just haven’t had time to do anything with them. TV shows take me months to do because I have a lot of episodes to watch and get photos from. -Julia
I’ve been trying to find out who created/the brand of the bedding used in Anna Faris’s new movie, “What’s your number?” but have had no luck. Anyone know? It’s gorgeous.
It’s called Montmartre by Sferra 1891 in the color Aubergine (I own it). Though it’s been discontinued for a few years, I’m sure you can find it on certain auction sites.
Thanks, Stephanie!
Hi Julia,
I love your blog and am definitely hooked on houses. I always loved the house featured in the Cate Blanchett film “Notes on a Scandal”. The kitchen was beautiful. If did not live in the country, this city house would be it for me! Fingers crossed that you can post it.
Hi! I love your website, it’s wonderful!! I was wondering if you’ve seen the movie “The Rabbit Hole” with Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart. That house is my dream house! It’s New Englad style, by the sea, with a glorious kitchen and I hope you will think about posting it at some point. Thanks for all your hard work!
Love Hooked on Houses. I knew I found a kindred spirit when I saw the Christmas in Conneticut House. Last week I saw an old Tom Selleck movie, Her Alibi. The house appears to be a New England (?) colonial with a post and beam add-on. Is it a real house? Where is it? I’ll let you know if I find any info.
I wrote a post about “Her Alibi.” You can find all the info here:
http://hookedonhouses.net/2011/06/13/her-alibi-tom-sellecks-house-in-connecticut/
These pages are great! What about Green Gables?
LOVE THIS WEBSITE!! I am interested in finding out about the sofa in “Whats Your Number” with Anna Farris !! LOVE IT!!
PLEASE HELP!!
I haven’t seen that one. Sorry I can’t help find the sofa!
Where can I see the house used in bridesmaids the movie, where she is in bed with teh guy she has sex with
Hi! You may consider the house in “The time traveler’s wife” and also from “The astronaut’s wife”, they are both great.
Love you web-site!!!!
All the best, xoxo
I don’t normally watch the show, “The Little Couple”, but just recently, I caught two episodes of them moving into their brand new built home. It’s absolutely gorgeous and I would love to see pictures if it, but I’m not expecting you to do it.
Any chance you have the info for the house in Fatal Attraction? I believe
it is located in Bedford, NY. I saw a feature about the making of the movie and
they said the director (Adrian Lyne) used actual locations for this film — no movie sets.
I always liked this house!
I would love to get your take on Madeline Weston’s house in Burn Notice. It has such a lovely open floor plan. The sun room, living room, dining room and kitchen all flow together, but are still their own distinct rooms.
Love your blog…..LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
One of my fave movies is ” Driving Miss Daisy”. Would love to see it featured.
Keep up the good work….and thanks for all you do!
Becca
I would love to see the apartments & houses from Julie & Julia!
I would really like to know more about the house from the movie. Kiss me goodbye. With Sally field, James caan and Jeff bridges. Love, love that house!
Have you seen the New York Apartment on the new show Ringer? Sarah Michelle Geller’s character’s closet is simply divine!
I loved the tv show West Wing and have a habit of re-watching on DVD every couple of years and I am to the point where the character Toby buys a house for his ex-wife Andrea to entice her to marry him again. It’s a great little house and was wondering if you or anyone else knew much about it. I was able to find it’s number is 2103 but that’s about it. Thanks for anything anyone can provide.
My boyfriend loves scary movies and he was re-watching Orphan the other day and while he was involved in the plot I couldn’t hel but be taken by the modern house the family lives in. While the interior may be a set, the exterior definitely looked like a real house out in the woods so I was wondering if you knew or could find out anything about it. The movie came out a couple of years ago. Thanks!
Don’t know anything about that one. Sorry!
I know it with the french title named after the orphan little girl “Esther”. It’s a movie with Vera Farmiga and the little girl is very scary. The house is amazing that’s true and I’d love to see pics of it but I have no other clues about it. Julia, you should watch that movie, you’d love the house; it reminds me a little of the one in twilight.
Other house:
There is a wonderful one in the tv series Journey Man with Kevin McKidd (but is this the same title in english?). The scene takes place in San Francisco so it is a victorian house; it’s neighboored with the one from Charmed. (we can see both houses in both series). The plot is about a reporter travelling in time to change events in SF.
Thanks.
I love this house too! Every little detail was incredible and I’d LOVE to know more about it!
I’d love to see the house from A River Runs Through It! Arts and Crafts style!
Love the houses you have on here. Have you seen the house on Melissa & Joey (ABC Family)? It’s really a great house. I think it would fit right in to the other houses you have here.
Thanks!
The house from the movie This Christmas
Hey I have been searching the internet trying to find an oversized couch like the one in the movie What’s Your Number?…can you help? Any ideas?
Love your website! I was wondering if you ever saw the brownstone in the movie kiss me goodbye with Sally fields and James caan?
I don’t think so. I’ll have to look that one up!
Check out the movie set from the 1943 movie, “Claudia” with Dorothy McQuire and Robert Young. I could not find photos on the internet, but I love the country cottage movie set.
Have you done any research on the house used in the 1994 version of “Little Women”?
Catherine, my friend works on the set of Ringer and posted some bts shots of the set on facebook; it is pretty nice, but I haven’t seen the show.
Agree with above poster that the house in Orphan is gorgeous inside and out. I like that even though it’s contemporary, it feels cozy with all the wood.
Just saw the old scary movie The Changeling (w/ George C Scott, NOT Jolie) and the house is incredible!! Big old mansion with stately rooms, wow.
Also, on my new fave show Happy Endings, Penny bought an AMAAAZING condo this year! I esp love the kitchen and hallway and dining area.
Love “Happy Endings”–and Penny’s new condo!
Hi- I LOVE your site and could spend hours on it! There are two movie homes I was hoping would be on the site someday– one was the Philadelphia apartment (not sure if it was a movie set) where Tina Fey lived in the movie “Baby Mama”. The other was the house where Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann lived in “Knocked Up”. I love love love that house!!! Every time the movie is on I find myself trying to look at the house in all of the shots!
LOVE your website and visit often….I can honestly say..my Favorite home of all times is Georgia Durante’s in California ! I had the pleasure of staying there and it is Amazing ! Beautiful yet very comfortable and the backyard is truly an oasis ! I know you have featured it on your site ( Many movies have been filmed there) There is nothing like “The Enchanted Manor ” !!!!!!!!!! Bill D

I had so many comments on this page that I broke them up into batches so it wouldn’t take so long to load. So your comments are all still there but now you have to hit the “previous comments” link to see the hundred before this, and then the hundred before that.
Thanks, Laurie! This list could keep me busy for a while.
I just purchased “Twelve Oaks” a.k.a. Whitehall in Covington and liked your comparison of the movie Twelve Oaks to the house that Margaret Mitchell wanted the movie producers to model it after. I am turning it into a Bed & Breakfast so please come stay sometime. It will be opening in the spring of 2012 after some renovations. Great blog! I’m planning to start a blog soon about the renovation and decorating of it. I’ll let you know once I get it set up. All the best,
Nicole
Wow! That’s really exciting. I can’t wait to see what you do with it. Please keep me posted!
The movie Ramona and Beezus has an adorable cottage that would be perfect to add to your movie houses!
I actually cannot believe no one has asked about the house in “knocked up” before– it is a great house!
Hi Julia! I was looking for pictures of this house, I love that house!!! I totally agree with Anna C. !!!!!!
you have got to get the two houses from the julia roberts movie something to talk about! both are beautiful homes
Hi Julia,
how are you? I came to this website because I was browsing through the net and hoping to find the house in the movie, Last Night. This is starring Keira Knightly and Sam Worthington. Their house is incredible and I believe it’s in NYC. Can you help in finding this dream house of mine please? thanks.
My roommates and I love the tv show Reba. It ended a couple of years ago but I still totally love the set design of Reba McEntire’s family house. It’s so big and gracious. Would love if you could do a feature on that one!
what about julia roberts house from stepmom if i remember correctly she had a really cool kitchen. or at least a giant island like i love! and also i know it sounds weird but garfield! im pretty sure his owner lives in a really cool craftsman.
I’ve written a couple of posts about Stepmom. Here’s the most recent one, from when it was on the market:
http://hookedonhouses.net/2011/01/02/for-sale-the-real-stepmom-and-bounty-hunter-house/
ok, “Knocked Up” was just on again the other night, and it reminded me to check on this site– but no response
I see one other person loved that house as much as I did! I want to remodel my kitchen/family room based on that house!
Sorry, Anne. No plans to cover that one any time soon. Maybe someday!
oh no! I am so sad!

Watch the movie and I am sure you will love the house
I wasn’t kidding when I said the kitchen/family room from the movie are my inspiration– we have been renovating our fixer-upper for almost 3 years and I hope that our kitchen renovation is in the not-too-distant future.
How do you decide which houses to cover?
Sorry, Anne! I do love the house and may cover it someday, but it’s just not on my short list right now of about 7 movies I’m working on. I get hundreds of requests a month and can only feature 3-4.
I choose them in different ways. Sometimes a reader will send me some great photos or links to information about a movie house that I want to share. Other times I’m getting dozens of emails about a certain movie or TV show everyone wants information on, so I know the demand is great for it. And sometimes it’s just one of my personal faves that I feel like researching. Sorry I can’t get to them all as quickly as everyone would like me to!
I usually try not to request many houses because I know how busy you are working on some to feature on Mondays, but recently I watched Mary Poppins and I loved the Banks house. We don’t get a good look at the exterior, but the inside is gorgeous.
Do you have a posting of pictures of Alicia Silverstone’s house in Blast From the Past? It’s a cute Craftsman style that was said (in the movie) to be in Pasadena.
Thanks!
I don’t. I have a vague memory of seeing that movie years ago. I’ll have to watch it again!
Love this site. I’m hooked. Pun intended. I am looking for pictures of two houses.
1) The Tropicana country club home of “Ace” Sam Rothstein in Casino
2) Neal and Laura’s home in The Santa Clause 2
Thank you,
Tammy.
What a fun site! I’m only sad that I’ve only just found it. I love checking out interior spaces in movies – I’m really happy you did separate posts on each of The Holiday’s spaces. They are each so special! I would love to see any of Wes Anderson’s films featured or the apartment from P.S. I love you. I’m sure you’re busy and you clearly have a million+ requests but I just thought I’d share my favorites : ) Thanks for your fun blog!
I just love all of your website, Julia, but the TV/Movie houses page is my favorite. Have you seen Dharma & Greg? There were some really fun sets on that show: Dharma’s original apartment, supposedly a converted factory loft, is just full of neat little details, and the in-laws houses are equally fun. You can watch some episodes on YouTube and there are reruns on WGN in some places: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8egfY_gFec&feature=related.
Hey Julia, I just discovered your website and love it already lol but the tv/movie section is my favorite. I have see that you have covered a couple of my favorite movie houses (father of the bride being one) but you haven’t done the beautiful georgean mansion from jumanji.
Hello, are you going to add “The Change Up” house? Loved it so much would like to see pictures of all the rooms…thanks, KK
No plans to right now. Haven’t even seen the movie yet. Is it out on DVD? I’ll have to check Netflix for it.
I love your site ! I was wondering if you could do a post on The Help if you’d seen it! I found myself loving the houses in the movie. Especially Celia and Skeeters mothers home ! Anyway, please keep up the great work ! Your site is wonderful.
While the recent movie, The Change Up, might not be a fit for everyone, the house is really cool; would love to see it.
Any interest in looking at the details of the flat and the beach house in “Ringer”? Closet in the flat is amazing…
hi! i would love to see the house in Salma Hayek’s movie After The Sunset here in your site thank you
and great job
One Aparment I would like to see is from Hitch. The apartment Will Smith lives in would be a fun one to see on here.
Oh, yeah, that’s a good one. Forgot about that movie!
I have enjoyed you site so much! I just did a post on your pictures for Christmas in Connecticut. I was hoping to find some pictures for my favorite movie Holiday Inn. Have you considered adding pictures of that amazing house? I am guessing that it might be the same set as White Christmas, but I like Holiday Inn better. Anyway, I linked back to your site and appreciate what you do!
Thank you
I haven’t featured “Holiday Inn” yet, but plan to someday. One of my favorites! Thanks for the mention on your blog.
Please cover the house off “Judging Amy”. It’s so beautiful!
Love this site, and most every movie I love is listed. I’d love to see the homes in both The Saint and Stealing Beauty, as you haven’t covered those so far that I can see. In The Saint, I am particularly interested in the English pub/restaurant Val Lilmer and Elizabeth Shue have wine at, and the cottage in the woods at the end of the movie when they meet back up. In Stealing Beauty I am interesed in both the Tuscan villa the family lives in, and the big mansion the party is filmed in. Keep up the great work, my favorite blog!
Neither of those movies rings a bell for me. I’ll have to keep an eye out for them. Thanks, Christine!
LOVE TO GET LOST IN THIS WONDERFUL WEBSITE!!
Come to the Stable with Celeste Holm and Loretta Young would be a
Great addition to the Christmas movie list.
Peace and blessings of the season.
I just found your site and I’m hooked! Do you have any information about the house in “Big Chill”? Baby boomer house-crack.
I haven’t done that one, but I should!
The First Wives Club, please!
Hey,
I was wondering if you watched “The Help”? They have very nice
plantation-style estates. It is in the 60′s style, very similar to Mad Men.
Thanks and good work so far.
