Love your blog. It’s a source of inspiration, a wonderful resource, an accomplishment of documenting great design/home decor in film.
You seem to be a fan of Nancy Meyers’ films It’s Complicated and Something’s Gotta Give… There are some films that have male high acheivers with homes with clean lines and lots of sunlight and “male-flavored” chic… Would you please consider blogging about (with frame by frame pictures as you’ve done with the Nancy Meyers’ filmes):
(1) Meet Joe Black with Anthony Hopkins and Brad Pitt
(New York’s Aldrich mansion… then apartment downtown…
then superchic office… rooms with neat, clean lines… )
(2) Fracture with Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling
(different palette than above but modern clean-lined space)
(3) Wall Street 2 Money Never Sleeps (see New York Times)
(4) Iron Man with Robert Downey Jr. (clean-lined “cold” industrial but very posh interiors that support the protagonist’s ego and high level of performance)
(5) Last one is not a movie but the USA Channel TV show SUITS with Gabriel Macht’s character Harvey (corporate lawyer whose apartment we can see in Season 1, Episode 1 “Pilot” (within first 15 minutes) and in Season 1, Episode 7 “Play the Man” (several times).
Great suggestions–thanks!
