black and purple bedroom

Afternoon! Love the picture.
Been browsing Pinterest, Tumblr, anything I could think of in hopes of finding the perfect scheme for my bedroom. I am in the process of planning to redecorate, refurnish and paint. Already own a lovely white sleigh bed, and love the color purple and damask patterns. Am thinking about painting my room black, and having my sleigh bed, obviously, a French style linen cabinet or book shelf of some sort and a vanity with a sunburst mirror. Already I own a damask pattern bedspread and was going to buy lavender colored sheets. Accents in my room would be some shade of purple, or whites and blacks.
Love this room you posted because it is basically my style. Only difference is that I’m a goer for minimalism, and would probably just decorate my walls with few select pieces… Perhaps a white tree wall decal? All the rage. Other than that, the spread you have is quite lovely. It captures my vision for what I’m looking to accomplish.
We’ll see how it all plays out. It’s a nice vision, mine. Just takes the time and effort. Oh, not bothering without money. I have a low to no budget at all… haha. I might just end up buying whatever paint is on sale at market that somewhat looks like what I want. As for decoration? Estate sales, and secondhand. I have absolutely no idea where I’ll find a French styled cabinet or bookshelf (really want Queen Anne legs because they are so elegant.) and a vintage-looking vanity. WHO KNOWS? And for a while there, I toyed around with beds with tree branch posts… That idea is still there.
Anyways. Thanks for posting the picture of the lovely purple bedroom. It helped me visualize what I want.
