One of my favorite Christmas movies is The Bishop's Wife. The interior of the Bishop's house is beautiful. I love all the fancy woodwork. From the outside it looks like an ordinary brownstone like the homes on Commonwealth Ave in Boston. The interior of the widow's home is also amazing.

A Christmas Story and Meet Me in St Louis are my favorite Christmas movies. I am so glad you included posts about them! I feel very loyal to the Christmas Story house because I live about 10 min away and have been lucky enough to visit, but I have to say, if you are asking which house I would rather spend the holidays in, it would have to be the beautiful victorian.
Happy Holidays!

I picked Home Alone. Not surpisingly, that's currently the top vote. I have loved that house for the moment I saw the movie. That and the house from Miracle on 34th street (1994 remake)

Hi Julia,

i picked Christmas in Conn. but I can't really decide which is my fav. There is something in all of them that I love. I think Holiday Inn has the same set as White Christmas. I watched both the other night and they both seem to have the same bar/lounge area. I saw that Holiday Inn was made about 10 years prior to White Christmas. I would love to go to that Inn for holidays, would't you. Merry Christmas, Julia.

SUCH a difficult decision as all of them are so lovely and wonderful and would make for a picture perfect holiday. However, I had to go with the house from the Family Stone! I want to live in it 24/7/365!

Based on the house alone, not the movie, I have to go with The Holiday. I don't like the movie much, but I watch it just to see that house! I've never seen Meet Me in St. Louis, but I'm gonna have to rent it now to see the rest of that gorgeous house. I do love the Christmas in Connecticut house too.

Maybe these count more as Inns (but people do live in them), but what about the beautiful homes/inns in White Christmas and Holiday Inn? Gorgeous!!!

I have loved "Meet Me in St. Louis" since I was a girl scout and saw it, at a special showing, in a restored movie theatre. The copy I have, has Lizzie Minnelli giving an introduction about her mom and dad and how they fell in love during this movie. Thanks for including this in your line-up!
