For anyone interested Milly’s apartment is, in fact, not an apartment but the famous lusted wedding venue Marvimon House, which started life as an italian automobile showroom at the start of the last century.

Why does Diane Keaton always have the BEST houses ever?! Would never have guessed that house was on the Venice Canal (didn’t even know it exists) … you know Ashton’s house in Valentine’s Day… was it on the Venice Canal also?? Looks similar to me…

What a great post! I love both these bungalows! I too recognized the canals from the Valentines Day movie. A good number of scenes are shot in front of houses, along the canals and on the bridges. Hi Julia I’m with you on this one – but I must confess I’ll take any of the above if offered – the bungalow is the winner …… I watched Chances Are for 100th time I don’t know if you have seen it but for a movie done in the late 80s I find the house to be beautiful and I can’t say I found any of the sets from the 80s anything to rave about but this one (exceptional) if you haven’t seen it I hope you have the time to have a look – it stars Cybill Shepher Robert Downey Jr and Ryan O’Neal how can you resist…. thanks for sharing it was wonderful…. I adore your movie posts. I like all three of the spaces featured, I really like Milly’s retro kitchen. Her old oven is too cute and I love the chalkboard on the fridge (?). Her pantry and shelving is also organized and adorable. I’m also a sucker for exposed brick, but I do love the bungalow as well… Decisions, decisions! I guess I’ll settle for Diane’s beach house in the Hamptons from Something’s Gotta Give and call it even
