I love the 5 welcoming touches story, I’ll have to implement these, we are having a large group of guests staying for the weekend soon and I definitely want them to feel comfortable and welcome. And of course, who could resist that Hobbit house, so adorable!!

Thanks for the links. Britney’s house could have used clearer pictures.
I loved all of tree houses. My favorite was the 1st one. The 10th tree house reminded me of the ones used in the movie “Swiss Family Robinson”. I also thought that Hobbit house was pretty cool. People sure get creative when it comes time to homes.

My new dream may be to have a hobbit house! I loved imagining what they were like when I read The Hobbit.

Love these weekend eye feasts!
First…loved the tour of the red farmhouse. Some areas seemed dark, but lots of great bones, and I’m a sucker for transom windows on interior doors! Also, the grounds are so peaceful…loved it!
Since I’m all about the view..oh my, that Carmel Ca. home had it all. The wise man built his house upon the rock…I sure hope the buider was wise! LOL!
Truman Capotes home…what a treat to see! I was so surprised by the porch and back yard. Absolutely beautiful. Loved the entire place. Also love Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Maybe the key to good writing is to live in a place like his!
Thanks for such a great post…as usual!

Who would have guessed that Britney’s house would be so traditional? I also smiled when I saw the “Nice Tan” on the fireplace. I’ve always been a fan of decorating with words and for a beach flair that is fun and original.
Thanks for sharing.
