BLECKH! Fortunately, the patterns on the riser are obviously computer-generated, and they didn’t really ruin wonderful architecture. I could see some sort of faux-finish to look like marble, or some-such, but these are just plain UHH-GLEE!

I’m not really into the patterns on the stairs. I think it tends to make everything look cheap. I do love the drawers/cabinets in the side of the first set of stairs though!!

That is a great idea, Julia! Thanks so much for sharing this! My house is going back on the market, but if I was staying I would definitely do something like this to my stairs. Very easy solution to do something to those stairs that are the first thing you see coming in my front door. Love the idea of the stics as a laptop skin, too.

Rats. We have carpet on our stairs. :s I’ve looked through their gallery before though, and it’s nice that they have tons of other uses, especially for us losers with carpet on our stairs.

PS. I think the storage space in that first photo is too cool!
