Kitchens Gone Wild: Animal-Print Appliances

Modern Zebra kitchen-Sticviews

Sticviews is a company (and HoH sponsor) that makes it possible to “stick” just about any design, photo, or logo on just about any solid surface–even appliances.

The gallery of ideas on their website is fun to look through because you can see some of the creative ways people have used Stics at home. Today I spotted this “Modern Zebra Kitchen” in their gallery. Wow! Now that’s thinking outside the stainless-steel box.

You wouldn’t need coffee to wake up in the morning in this kitchen, would you?

Think this is wild? Check out the leopard-print fridge.

LOL!!

I just about hate to admit this, but in my last home which was on a 5 acre farm, I created black cow patches all over the white fridge with vehicle graphics vinyl. (it was to actually cover up a bunch of dings as it was an old unit) When I went to show the place to sell, I asked the real estate agent if I should remove the splotches. He said, “NO WAY! This is a farm!”

This was about 8 years ago. Does this mean I invented the idea? :D

Um….wow? That hurts my head just looking at it on a photo. I can’t imagine actually standing in the kitchen. I applaud the idea, but in reality, it’s a bit over the top. Now my zebra print stilettos? Those are perfection, but a zebra print fridge? Too much.

I don’t think I’d ever want these in my own kitchen, but I do still love those flowery appliances (that cost a BUNDLE!) you showcased a while back – I dream about them! hehe!

Hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday Julia!

I would be afraid to go near that fridge if I had it. This is a trend I don’t care to carry on.

Love it! In my dreams where I have a chic city condo (as well as my regular house plus the one in Hawaii), this is the kind of kitchen look I could go for.

I remember in the mid-80’s when we got a new fridge at home. My mom thought it was too stark so she contact papered it w/ a bamboo print.

I promise this is not mine, I love the style and the way it is put together, but I don’t think I could live with it for long. I can see it in a metropolitan modern home…

I don’t know if you’ve heard, I’ve been out of the loop for a bit, Alan Jackson’s ‘Sweetbriar’ estate in TN is for sale for $38 million, I believe. I thought you might like to post about it. The views are gorgeous. :)

I agree – this kitchen is a bit over the top. But the reason we created this look was to show people you don’t have to think of the “typical” uses of a sticker. Take yourself outside of the box and ask yourself how stickers could change the look of your space. We’ve seen everything from cabinet makeovers, to table re-finishings, and more! I’m about to re-stic my office desk here at sticviews – and I actually might use zebra print!! Thanks for the post, Julia! Hope you had a rockin’ Christmas!

Blessings,
Kat @ Sticviews!
