I loved using a big old skeleton key to open the building door and the apartment door I lived in as a teenager in Vienna, Austria. We even had one for the WC, too! Twenty years later my obsession came through loud & clear when I became a real estate broker – I incorporated a beautiful image of a vintage skeleton key into my company logo! Now I’m on the hunt to find a beautiful, yet affordable, piece that will double as a keychain and bottle opener, to be given as a closing gift. Let me know if you have any ideas!

I want one of the Tiffany's keys which look like old skeleton keys, but these are fun! I think they are so pretty and different! Julia…when I was a kid our front door key was a skeleton…..I at that time thought everyone had one…. Sadly my parents put in a new front door….I kept the key but somehow lost it…. I’d forgotten about our old front door until this post…thanks for the memory !!!

I love them! I love an old key like that with a tassel around it, but I think I could manage to wear it around my neck!
