The walls in the second picture look like dark wood paneling and bring me back to around 1983. Kind of odd.. I don't think black is my first choice for a bedroom. It's definitely not cozy or comforting. I find the whole house visually stimulating and interesting, but I'd feel like I was in a workspace as opposed to a 'family home' space. Which, I guess, is part of the point - it's more a bachelor/ or single person home. I could see how it is visually striking, but especially for an office.
