Oh My God! I just arrived in USA to study interior design for 3 years. I am 40 years old and I am hoocked on houses. I answered yes for all the questions and I got the 2 extra points too!! Does anyone like the brazilian stile? I love this site!

Yep…I’m hooked. Yes to every question! In fact, I’m pet sitting for my daughter this weekend and stopped at an open house, yesterday! It’s Sunday today which means there will be lots open! Yay! Love your website!

I must say since finding your site recently I have fallen in love with your blog. I am hooked on houses as well. I’m an interior designer and have always loved homes and liked peeking in windows on walks.
I think I have one more thing you could add to your list.

11. Seeing a home for sale that you love and want with no intention of buying it (unless you won the lottery) and getting heartbroken when someone buys it knowing you can never have it.

The only one I couldn’t answer yes to was the paint. I’m not great in that dept – although I am great with colors. (My husband things I am one of those people who have an off the spectrum view of color!) Love this quiz and finding that there are so many other people who share my obsession of houses!

It looks like most of us are hooked beyond redemption.

I have a problem, when I visit friends’ homes, of looking up at the ceilings and out of the windows as well as at my hosts. I’ve been told that scanning the entire space like this is ‘buying’ behavior rather than guest behavior and therefore can be somewhat rude!

We should add extra points for:
a) Over-use of zillow.com to find out what people actually paid for their homes (guilty!)
b) Knocking on the door of somewhere you used to live and asking complete strangers if you can come in to see how it looks now. My Mom actually did this … I guess this Hooked thing is genetic.
