Father’s Day Gifts & Wishes

Happy Father’s Day! I know it’s a little late for me to be posting gift ideas, but I just saw these and had to share. GeeZees Custom Canvas Art lets you put any photo with any words on a canvas. I have such a hard time shopping for the men in my life that I’m keeping these in mind for future gifts. I like that they can be personalized any way you want them. And I’m such a sap that just reading the words that these customers wrote on their canvases gets me all choked up.

Stephanie, a mom who had the idea to start this business, writes a blog that gives us a peek behind the scenes of running her business. I’m always inspired by moms in business who take a creative idea like this and make it a reality!

Do you have any plans for Father’s Day celebrations? I’m lucky enough to live in the same town as my parents, so we’ll be able to take my dad out to dinner (I wrote a tribute to him last Father’s Day, complete with fun old photos from my childhood, that you can read here).

And while I’m on the topic of fathers, I just have to say that my husband Dave is the most amazing dad. He’s the kind that can fix anything that breaks, who is always finding “teachable moments” in everyday life, and who will stay up late baking homemade cookies for his daughter to take to class the next day when her lazy mommy would just swing by the local bakery instead. I hope he has a great Father’s Day — he deserves it!
