The overly-white tones as well as the bright decor definitely give a sleek feel to the house. However, I don’t personally like this “sleek” feel for a craftsman style house…

I think the contemporary look could have been obtained without going so monochromatic in some of the rooms. Even contemporary homes have nice, warm, wood accents. I do like the basic look of the home though, expecially the exterior. I love Craftsman style. It’s my favorite.

I love the outside sooo much! So charming. I love the master bed and bath. But the hallways just well creeps me out. The formal dining room reminds me too much of Beetlejuice-and the floors are too white. If they made it a beautiful chestnut it would really make the room pop for me. But Id be too afraid to go in their house for a visit! But overall its a very cute and modern home.

Where to start….
The decor is awful.
The pickled floors are wrong…just wrong.
The wallpaper or whatever it is in the hallway is terrible.
I could go on but will stop and just say…to each his own.

love everything except the floors. the white trim makes it look light and not so stuffy. i love the outside color choices.

I love it.
to all the haters: 1) There are a buh-jillion craftsman bungalows that have the darling wood paneling and mission style furniture- so ease up! let a few people go crazy and create a whole new style for themselves. 2) Why are people still complaining about mixing furniture from different eras? I thought we were all past that old (boring) way of thinking. 3) Take it from me- having every room of your house paneled in “warm, natural wood” is not the nirvana some folks seem to think it is. It is beautiful but it it is also dark, limiting to decor, and guilt inducing when you consider painting over it. (I live in an old cottage that has original wood paneling in every room – even the ceiling in two rooms is bead board. There is no drywall or plaster surface to paint or break up the wood)
