I know that this is a little bit late, but I’m going to DC in November. I remember that you had gone this summer and I was hoping that you could give me some tips on that area. Are there any places that you would’ve skipped and are there any that you would’ve liked to have visited but didn’t or didn’t spend enough time at? Any advice would be great. I haven’t been back there yet, so I’m excited and don’t want to come home sad that I missed something. Thanks for any help you can give!!

Ooh, I thought all that stuff looked really familiar, but I’m always afraid I’m way out in left field.

I used to live 13 miles south of DC and my parents would drag us into the city every Sunday, and sometimes more, to see stuff. Are you going down to Williamsburg? I think that was my most favorite vacation ever. And I was 13.

Did you get to go to the old part of Annapolis? My husband and I went there last Spring and visited my cousin, who lives there, and I loved all the old brick buildings on the wharf. So cool.

Oh, what fun! We went to D.C. two years ago, and it was the best vacation ever. We want to go back, because you could be there for weeks and still not see it all.

I think it is safe to say that we are Hooked on Julia!

Glad you are having so much fun. That will be a fun trip to take when my kiddos are older. Clayton and I stopped in on our honeymoon–romantic, I know–and that was the last and only time I have been to DC.

Oh and I forgot to tell you how lucky your kids are to be able to see DC. The Smithsonian is another unforgettable place and there is so much there to see that you would probably need a month of 40 hour weeks to see everything there!

Have fun and enjoy the history. DC is one cool place to visit!
