When such tragedies occur, it puts all our troubles into perspective doesn’t it?

You deserved every one of those fabulous ratings. I am sorry I did not know about it before now…I would have loved to write a testimonial. Your blog is so fresh, fun and gorgeous to view. A treat in every way.

Julia! I knew you were leaving, so I didn’t check your blog at all until just now (Monday evening) and I’m sorry I missed this sweet post. My heart has been breaking for the Chapman family too. He’s one of my favorite singers – both as an artist and as a human being – and I feel like it happened to family (though I don’t know him at all, of course). I gave my girls lots of hugs the day I found out too. …And I’m not surprised you had so many fabulous ratings – you deserve them! You are one hard-working blogger, missy…and entertaining too. Hope your weekend was fabulous and restful.

Of course you got all 10′s! I’m not surprised at all….you put so much work into your site with pictures, and commentary day after day after day. You are amazing, and I often wonder how many hours of sleep you average. I’m guessing 5 or 6, please don’t tell me it’s any less because I can barely function on that, let alone keep up an amazing blog.

My husband told me about the Chapman’s right after it happened. I was stunned and my heart dropped. I can’t imagine….I just can’t.

As to the Indiana note, we visit family in Valpo a couple times a year. We went to a dairy farm over the Christmas holiday that was more educational that fun, and there’s a blueberry farm that I try to hit up in the summer months. I’m always looking for something interesting to get out and do while we’re in town. Let me know if you’ve got fun places (or houses!) to check out.

Jeez! I know my weekend is busy, but YOU CAN’T LEAVE!!!
But then again if you didn’t I would feel really bad that you
didn’t go out and enjoy yourself. Thats funny about your
son, I guess all 13-year-old boys are probably like that
though.
As for me, this weekend I am getting my hair done, going
to my church (my baby cousin is getting dedicated!), and
on Monday, my boyfriend and some of our friends are
going to go out and do something.
I will probably also read my Uncle J.D.’s letter. He died in
the war many many years ago, when my grandpa was
growing up. You see he was the closest thing to a father
my grandpa had–his father died before he was born, and
a couple weeks before he was going to come home he
wrote them a letter of excitement, but not to long after his
plane crashed. It still makes me sad, and I feel really stupid writing this because I can’t really do it justice, but I guess
this will have to be ok. Sorry for the downer. Have a
good Memorial weekend.
