Now this one I"d buy...with my pretend money. I'd have to warm it up substantially but I love the character...the FLOORING - LOVE the flooring! the wood AND the tile in the bathroom - beautiful! The natural light, the arched doorways - good stuff. I would have to change out the lighting though (dated) and the walls are a little WHITE for my taste...i'd put seating in the kitchen area - and warm that room up substantially. not sure what I'd do w/ that hammock room....but again - cool flooring. This is fun! Thanks!

If money was no object, I might spring for this one. It had a lot going for it. Except I think I would have done something different in the solarium. I'm thinking tall trees and exotic flowering plants, not hammocks.

With the exception of the master bedroom (booor-ing!!) it definitely looks like a house worth 7 figures. I totally agree that the owners / designers should have tried to stay more faithful to one period or look. I loved the first few pictures, and then gradually got more disappointed in the style. LOVE the solarium - what wasted potential with just a couple of big hammocks in there! Certainly eye-catching, but the hammocks would have to go for sure.

I would buy it for the library! My 6-year-old would buy it for the hammock room. :)

I like that you've been showcasing houses that are WAY out of my price range. It's easy for me to get the idea in mind that if I just had X amount of money I could buy the "perfect" house.

But every one of these houses had something, at least one room, that really jarred me and would make me feel I needed to change it quickly before I'd be comfortable living there. It's a good lesson for me that perfection or contentment aren't necessarily always for sale.

Interesting! The owners have very "spastic" taste though. They are all over the place. The hammock room was a trip. It kinda looked like the were storing their outdoor furniture for the winter. Not a well thought out design plan in site in this house. I predict it will be on the market a while.

Ah, I am picky with my prentend money! So here I go again...

I'm just going to ignore the fact that I don't like the tudor style and say that the house seems to be having a bit of an identity crisis. You've got very formal dark wood trim everywhere and the paneled room and the classic wine cellar and solarium. But then you've got a very modern kitchen, boring master bedroom and very modern master bath. I like modern elements in the proper setting but they really don't work here. I love the fountain though :) I wouldn't buy this house because I just don't like the style.
