I don’t comment on too much on the internet, but felt the need to put in my two cents after finding this page. I personally LOVE this house… outside AND in. I don’t like the shade/color in the living room… but that is about it. About me: turning 30 this FRI (oct 22). LOVE purple, pink, angels, fairies/fairy tale, the caribbean, sparkly/glittery/girly things… lol. I’m a website designer and a bartender. Single, no kids. Still trying to be one myself I don’t own a house (rent in NYC area) but the pictures of this one really made me smile and wish I could live in beautiful & bright/happy home like that.

I’m willing to bet that the owners were not Caucasian…there is an exuberance in the colors…and I admit, I like the purple door and the master bed would be cool….instead of fake greenery use floaty, soft, romantic…might work.

We had neighbors once who had a huge, old, PURPLE painted two story place up the road from my parents. Nice, large hispanic family…would loved to have seen the inside. It was easy to tell people where we lived as everyone in town knew the purple house…but as the sun and rain faded…it became the loveliest very pale lavender…with white shutters…it was really pretty.

My husband and I came across a really horrid kitchen once, in an otherwise below-average house. The listing said the cabinets were brand new, so we were really shocked to see that the owner had painted every surface red, white, and blue. Then she had the realtor tell everyone that the cabinets were “custom hand-painted” like it was the house’s best selling point! Sorry I don’t have a picture to share.

OMG!!!! This site is like crack. I am so addicted after my partner told me about it. I love the rooms that need re-hab. As an Interior Designer I love to see what people get up to on their own and decorate to their own taste (or complete lack of reserve) The color scheme of this house is so vile and the terrible little “extras” like the angels and the too cheap murals are “too precious” as my Mother would say. (That’s code for sooooo tacky I almost fell out of my chair.)
