I found this post especially interesting as I, along with my book club, had read the book “Loving Frank” earlier in the year. It is a novel written from the persceptive of his mistress of many years and is an interesting read. Even though his aesethic is different from my own, I get what he was trying to do, to offer simplicity and organic nature. I was so intrigued I checked out other books from the library to see more of his work. What an interesting man. On a trip north we stopped at a building he had designed in Spring Green, WI and you really do feel the one with nature concept.

Beautiful example of Wright architecture! Every line inside and out is an extended horizontal. Though I wonder how much this house has been updated. Wright wasn’t exactly known for open kitchens like this one. Thanks for sharing this!

I am not a FLW fan. I can appreciate the skill and vision but I just don’t like the sterile environment in them. With those taxes the can keep the heap of brick. And sadly yes , not 1 winner of the hgtv dream house has kept it. Last year or before the gave the winner money to pay something, but I think they still sold it.
